Well that’s a good start. Hopefully the trend continues.
…Paid $47 on Amazon and am not mad. You mad bro?
My buddy and I had that same conversation as we were both tempted to get TPS and gift away BB, but give HB and charity all the money. I’d so love to see where the distributions are going…
Even if 2k doesn’t get a thing, if the person you gift that copy to ends up grabbing the season pass, I’d call it a win.
Given that we payed 60 a few months ago, it’s hardly just complaining.
EDIT: Also, there’s really not very much complaining or negativity, no more than there should be on the internet.
The HB price is £8 less than when I got it during the Steam Summer Sale. Yes, that’s not much of a gap, but I’m still happy with what I got for the price I paid (even if it was less than what most of you paid), and you certainly don’t hear me complaining.
I´m just happy more players have the chance to grap BB. Many were scared off by the full price, the PC playerbase needs new blood anyway and a low price for the game seems a great compromise towards those who say BB should be F2P.
I see new players on XB1 every day and I hope the numbers will rise even more through summer sales.
And not even 1pm est and the pop is now at 1195! Tomorrow will be a huge indication on what direction this game goes. Either people are going to come back and check out the new maps and balance changes or we’ll flatten out between 1500 and 2000 players (average on-line at any given moment) with HumbleBundle sales. Which I’m guessing translates to around 8000-10000 active players. That’s a fairly healthy population if we’re talking how many people are needed to prevent long waits or being matched against the same teams.
When it comes to the deeply discounted prices we’ve seen I’m happy and pissed for this reason:
I don’t mind the sale price of the base game to bring in more players. I paid full price to get in from day 1; totally fine with that.
It infuriates me that I paid full price for a season pass and before I even got one tiny piece of content for it people can get it cheaper. That right there is the slap in the face.
I’m sure Gearbox have supported the Humble Bundle before. It’s seems like a decent thing to do, to me.
I bought the deluxe digital version, without straining my pocket too much and I don’t begrudge others who are less fortunate than me being able to purchase a brilliant game, at all.
Lol at all the people still trying to put a negative spin on this. Cripes. I don’t even play on pc and I’m just happy for them
Paid just over 80 dollars and it was worth every penny. Countless hours of fun for both my son and I. I’m glad I could help support a company who’s games I love.
Not only is the game fun but almost every gripe I’ve had with the game thus far has been listened to and been addressed. I’m hoping that this is one of those types of games that start off slow but after time people wise up, try the game and it starts to thrive.
How much something costs, doesn’t mean anything to it’s value. Just ask Leicester City FC.
it is worth the $30 I spent when it was half off in the store on xbox one…because my favorite and most played game instantly
Gamertag - Princeton Cups
All the gaming “news” sites are doing just that. I’m convinced they’re full of OW fanboys or Blizzard paid them off to s**t stomp all over BB. Some people will do anything to get clicks these days >_>
I have the Digital Deluxe version for both XB1 and Steam. And I have Overwatch to boot.
I do not regret my decision.
That’s awesome you shouldn’t regret that for a minute this game is amazing and I’d happily give GBX more money just for making such a brilliant game
Double dipped this game already. full price on release version (actually fell for the Overhype and sold it…regret my descision) , 35 bux for xb1 digital deluxe (missed it dearly) and almost bought the 15 dollar version on pc . The only reason I didn’t was because it seems like xb1 has the higher population.
People have no patience , buy things at full price then complain that people can get it cheaper now…that’s life.
Absolutely!
At one time, I believed the people who pre-ordered were just the kind of people who had to be the first on the block to do everything.
Then, after a while, I realized that @Gulfwulf and I only have one outlet for entertainment and if we know a company and we know we’re going to play a title, we can buy things at full retail price just because we don’t want to wait until the price comes down to be able to play.
If PC gaming was just one of many hobbies, we would have to compromise with our entertainment budget, but it is our only hobby. As such, we have to do our research. We have to have the right hardware, we play in open betas, and we know what we like. We haven’t bought a single title that we’ve regretted buying at full price including season passes.
And this is including the fact we have to buy two of everything in order for us both to be able to play.
Now the people I don’t understand are those who feel they have to pre-order the deluxe version and then get upset when they see the price drop. It’s a choice to buy full price and they all end up on sale eventually.
