And you thought BB's Microtransactions were bad

Exactly. In Battleborn there are skins and taunts that are paid for with real money only, and there are also taunts you can ONLY get from loot packs, such as Pheobe’s hilarious slots taunt, or ISIC’s “targetting all kneecaps” taunt. I have no problem with requiring in-game currency for something you’ll have to farm for because of the randomness factor, as it means you’ll always have some use for credits, even if its minor. But essentially Blizzard is saying you won’t be able to get the specific skin you want without paying them a fairly hefty chunk of change, or getting very, very lucky.

I hated Blizzard when they launched Overwatch specifically timed to steal players from Battleborrn … but yeah.

I never understood the love of their games, the lore is not even original (especially starcraft, freakin warhammer 40k ripoff) and as others has said just games that ripped off other ideas and just polished them in gameplay

Do you imagine if battleborn devs took this same approach? Making the skin only droppable on a new loot pack that you can only buy with real money. The top threading topics wouldn’t be “match-matching problems”, “hate leavers/quitters” or “new/existing character is op”.

This kind thing is normal in P2P games, but this is a new low for a retail game.

Then again Blizzard has fans willing to drop a thousand dollars trying to get all the limited edition items. Truly frightening.

I think Blizzard even skirts Olympic licencing fee’s by not using official symbols that reference the actual Olympics venue.

C’mon man. Lets not do this.

Yep, pretty much the same reason I started to hate them as well
