Burden ain’t on me, you’re the one who made the claim. Besides, that’s a tangent.

My point was more about tools Gearbox have available. You want to have an opinion on balance, feel free. Everybody has one. My argument was that the design gives Gearbox more control.

What they do with that control happens after that is the tangent. It’s kinda relevant, sure,
but we get into who works on what at Gearbox and it gets very speculative.

Certainly does. Let’s not go that way though, eh? Ta muchly!

I reckon it’s quicker to go murder some Scraptraps over and over again. You don’t even need to quit/restart that encounter.

It doesn’t bother me since I’ve had to ditch my favorite guns after the first increase. Never did find a really good super shredifier since sigh. Been getting by with a nuclear faisor, one of the new TORGUE guns, and an ion cannon just for laughs. Been mostly using iron bear lately though since it’s finally the murder machine it should be, so those 5 extra points I could put into something more.

These events were for the entire playerbase. Not just for those people sitting at end game trying to copy OP builds they saw on youtube. The people in that classification should have the mental expectations that new content is coming and the game is still actively being patched and balanced. Therefore they should be prepared to farm for new things later as the game essentially changes.

If you were hoping to copy an OP build and never have to look for gear again to stay in that OP tier I would suggest coming back in a couple years TBH.

I am just trying to look at the bright side of all of this. From what I have read, and the small handful of YT videos I have watched hinted that this was the last level cap for awhile. Makes sense, since this is coming with the last of the planned DLCs. Granted, there may be an eventual level increase with the addition of some new content down the line, but I really hope they keep it as is after this, level-wise. I like having decisions to make when distributing my points. I absolutely adored playing TPS, but being able to hit capstones in all three trees was silly.

Tangent aside, I see this as an upcoming year of the seasonal and non seasonal events (looking at you, Cartel) where we get to keep our hard earned, time-locked loot, and create new and interesting builds around them. I see it as a chance for Gearbox to continue to rebalance gear around a static set of content. When it comes down to it, we don’t need any more skill points. We do, however, need some more bank space.

Doesn’t bother me at all anymore. Ditching the farming mindset has made Borderlands much more fun to play. If Gearbox really wants farming to be fun then they need to actually impliment it fully into the game’s design, as in not having to save quit every time you kill a boss. Add mechanics into the game that increase the odds of you getting the specific gear you want. I forgot what enemy but I’m pretty sure there’s an enemy where when killed with fire, gives you an increase chance to get a hellfire, there needs to be more of things like that. Like killing an enemy with a Dahl legendary in their loot pool with a Dahl weapon increases the chance of it dropping. Killing enemies with snipers in their loot pool with a critical hit increases the chance of it dropping. And these could stack so an enemy with a Dahl sniper in their loot pool would give you the best chance of getting it when killed with a critical hit by a Dahl sniper. If the weapon has multiple elements, then killing the enemy with the element you want it in increases the odds of getting it in that element.

This combined with better balancing would better encourge people to have a wide varity of weapons in their arsenal, better enforcing the “billions of guns” vision the franchise has been lacking ever since farming became a thing. No point in flaunting the amount of randomly generated guns you have when most people are only concerned with specific weapons, which are only a small percentage of the gear in the game, dropped by specific enemies.

It’s bound to happen I mean they’ve done it 3 times already, alas ofcourse event weapons are gonna be one off’s but it’s like they’re event’s for a reason people get desired weapons etc during it and those that haven’t are going to be saddened by it. It’s natural especially in any other RPG that has event only item’s and not upscaled to the next level cap that get’s released later on in the year etc. As much as a pain this is to us all we can only try and shout for these event weapons to get at the least them put into the world drop table. Yes paragraphing is not my strong point lol.

Maybe, but the slaughter shaft has served me well. Previous cap raises, I haven’t even had to finish all 5 rounds, usually hit the new cap around the start of round 4. Then it’s off to Cursehaven to try to farm up a good Clairvoyance, Killavolt for a Monarch, now I’ll add Turnkey Tim for a Maggie, Laserdactyl for a Light show, and the centaur guy for a flipper, maybe hit up warden for a Plaguebearer. Of course with five levels this time, I may have to finish all five rounds and then hit one of the bosses to finish out the last level. All in all, usually only takes maybe a couple of hours to level and gear up enough to feel ready to start the dlc.

Why did you post the same exact response to me again about level cap increases? I already told you I don’t care about replicating any end game builds so stop pretending like you know my interests or motivations. Or do you not remember replying to me with a similar messages in the last week? Is that just your standard response to anyone who criticizes the way they implement grinding in this game?

Farming definitely isn’t fun which is why I don’t play anymore among other things.

I only play as Zane , I’ve managed to fill all the slots with him and the bank and all the backpacks , I’ve run out of space .

I want at least 5,000 in the safe , maybe infinite ?

I sold 250 legendaries yesterday and only have mods, artifacts, what guns/grenades/shields will help me get to 65 and my copies of the Cartel event weapons. It was painful doing but I’ll get it all back. Really, if they increase the drop rates on the next patch, as so many of us have been asking for, then getting stuff back will not be such a chore.

I’ll now be doing an early character story run until the DLC drops as there’s really no point playing as a lv.60 character now unless you don’t have all the Guardian perks.

Maybe for GNX, but are you a console player? Imagine to have a 20sec fight (which is pretty long for a fight) and then beeing in the loading screen for 60 to 70seconds! And Im not lying its ALWAYS over 60seconds and I can prove it! So dont say its fun because it isnt…
Before they spread out the loot there were ovber 50 enimies in the base game with no legendary loot pool what made farming waaaay more difficult. They do the game better and better but it take them so long for smaller changes. We should have the possibility to choose the modifiers months ago…

The only thing what GBX do is rotating and changing the meta. The Cutsman, Redistributor, Recursion were so strong and got nerved. Now we have things like Flipper, Lightshow, Complex Root. Why nerv stuff so strong it becomes obsolete instead of may nerf the damage by 10% and buff other guns which are never picked up in the Mayhem levels? Would it break the game for someone if there were more than 15 good weapons in the game?

How is it Suboptimal if I need 4 shots with my Sickle and on the other hand 2 Mags with a Maggie? How is it Suboptimal if I oneshot some badass with the Ion laser and need 6 shots with the Satisfaction? Remember the mgag of the Satisfaction has 4 shots…

You know we had guns which were powerfull as the current meta is now. Where was no reason to change that because we have strong weapons anyway but without nerving we could have MORE… more variety in our gear. Imagine that you can use 50% of all legendaries on a character and not only 5%. There are guns I never pick up regardless of anointment on it and this is SAD! The Vanquisher ist even on the first playthrough very bad sompared to other stuff. I dont mean that they have to make them OP but at least a bit viable…

A 500 slots bank for each character would be nice…

Using the skill planner I am not seeing any major changes to builds on Amara or Zane. I’m not a Moze main so cannot comment on her. FL4K seems to make the best use of these 5 points.

Of course, it all gets turned upside down if we get a 4th skill tree…

Fl4k at least gets access to a bit more flexibility, which makes hybrids easier. For example if you wanted to use Rakk/Fade Away and wanted to get to their respective capstones you barely had enough points left to invest in the blue tree, but now you can have both The Power inside and Megavore and still get both Persistence Hunter and Ferocity which compliments your Fade Away, slightly increases your gun damage and grants your pet +50% damage all while getting 5 points in Grim Harvest and while getting Galactic Shadow. There is a lot of freedom gained for Fl4k to not having to compromise their playstyles anymore.

Edit: And when we get the 4th skill tree it’s basically time to reevaluate the build as a whole, because more often than not, spreading your points too thin between trees isn’t the best idea as the best skills are usually in the lower half of the skill trees.

I can see Zane changing a lot if the new skills and the new action skill are practicable enough and/or support previously inaccessible playstyles. Amara will probably be as flexibly OP as ever and Moze will appreciate the variance, but it’s going to be hard to break the “Demolition Woman” habit just as much as it’s going to be tough to get Amara away from “Fist of the Elements”. Those trees are just too good to not be used.

One of the reasons I don’t bother going out of my way to find the best of the best loot. I like the slow journey and if I loot something great then that’s a bonus.

Hja…Thets have so manny games,of course is just to "player Base playing their own game and then the Devs sad: O,how much player on the world play our game, bla, bla, bla…Thats it,just obout Money, sad but true!!!

Ok, I’m a 61 year old player who stopped playing after the last DLC due to the constant crashes on my Xbox One X. What “options” are there for PC players that aren’t for console players? I legit am not aware.

I’m assuming they were talking about save editors, essentially they can make any gear for their character without having to put in the work. That or PC players can download other players save files with full kits (a lot of streamers share OP builds). Might get a slap on the wrist as they don’t like mention of save editors or mods around here
