I have not been able to find anything announced about plans for Wonderlands DLCs beyond selling the pass with the pre-order. Has anyone here seen or heard anything on this?

With the release a month away, I would have thought that GB would have opened a forum for this game. Thoughts on why they have not?

The situation seems to be GBX are pushing to make a discord rather than a separate header here.

I can’t ever find any useful information on Discord. Seems to just be people chatting and socializing with their friends without saying anything about a given topic.

Historically, new game forum sections are created quite late in the release process.

They’ve said there’s going to be 4 story campaigns, but other than that, no.

Wasn’t it a few months into BL3 before we heard about specifics for the Handsome Jackpot? And at that point we were not given any specifics on further ones(kreigs was still in preproduction), so not knowing the specifics of the DLC seems business as usual.

That would be consistent with what they did for BL3 provided they mean DLCs. Where and when was that announced? Ok, I see that now in the FAQs of the Wonderlands site. I’d been looking for “DLC” not “post-launch content drops”. I suppose that “4 content drops with new fantastical boss fights and whimsical challenges to be released after launch” equates to DLCs.

I wouldn’t expect any specifics until at least a few months after release. I’m just wanting to gauge what the value of the Season Pass is.

BL3 had forum sections at least 5 or 6 months before release and were very active.

After several iterations of Borderlands, changing the terminology from DLCs to content drop means something. Typically in my experience not in the good direction. This could be a way to not bother with a new story line for a dlc and just drop a couple skins or heads and give you nothing for your $ or do one DLC like pre sequel and drop a few weapons etc. It’s very vague. This is likely another good reason to wait year, see what happens then catch a big sale.

It could mean they’re shifting from exclusively story to more Takedowns and raid bosses… Or they could be keeping it vague so they can decide based on the success of the game. Might also be a new class for DLC1 like they did with BL2.
