^ My thoughts exactly. 
I ran Rabid Adams quite a bit last night. Got 5 Marek’s to drop. 2 of which were level 70. None with luneshine. I did find out that it doesn’t matter if you harm the tork before trying to kill Rabid Adams. I got the Marek’s Mouth to drop on both scenarios. So that myth has been cleared up for me at least.
At this point I am leaning toward the Marek’s Mouth SMG with luneshine being gibbed. 
I would love to be wrong about this.

Could be. That wasn’t what I was pointing out. I have seen this SMG in game. It was dropped by a random while co-oping. So I have seen this SMG with the luneshine. That is what I mean by “it might be gibbed”.
Im almost positive the first mareks mouth that dropped for me had that luneshine effect on it. Maybe one of the patches made it glitch out and it doesn’t drop with the luneshine anymore. Or its just super rare. Im very curious and am going to try farming for it with the luneshine.
Do you remember at what game mode and what lvl the weapon was?
Pretty sure it was my first playthrough. And what ever level it can drop at that point in the game.

I got a Marek’s Mouth to drop, but it’s regular.
Ive been farming for it and all i have been getting are regular versions. So maybe the luneshine version is bugged and doesnt drop at the moment or is super super rare. I will keep trying though when I get the time to play.
Same here. It’s a fun run however. So I don’t mind keeping at it.
I have had about 3 69’s. I don’t bother capturing those.
Dont give up! I have had one drop before but it was under level.

Just to let you know, earlier today I killed Rabid Adams 50/52 times, but he only dropped a couple of regular Marek’s Mouths. I won’t give up until we get a final answer 
I’m with ya on that. I am not letting it go. I will keep at it until something official deters me. @BTK420247 hasn’t let me down and has been helpful in the threads. I see no reason to doubt him.

and your help would be appreciated. Its in Outlands Canyon. We are farming Rabid Adams for the rare drop that we think is in his loot pool. its a luneshined version of the Marek’s Mouth SMG. I have several non-luneshined. I have seen it before the level cap hit 70. Not sure if it was gibbed or not as it was dropped by a random. We are trying to confirm it’s legitimacy.

It’ll be interesting to see if someone does get one to drop with luneshine. And I need to figure out a way to contact one of the GBX people to see if luneshines can drop from the true bosses. Maybe twitter or something? I don’t do any social media stuff, so I’m not sure lol.

I would love an official response from someone at Gearbox on this topic. But I’m not holding my breath. I truly think its up to us, the community, to get confirmation. I really like collaboration, so this is fun for me.
I start my hunt a little while Thursday and then more Saturday hopefully we can figure this out
