So there’s this absolutely free to play RPG called Genshin Impact and it’s breath of the wild with 24 unlockable characters, and each of those characters has a weapon slot, special action skill, special ultimate skill, and 5 gear slots.
If you’re jonesin’ for something to scratch that looter/action game, I highly recommend it. It’s free on all platforms.
Oh, you also swap between 4 characters, so keys 1-4 are different characters that you can switch between at will as opposed to just different weapons.
Also, swapping characters lets you combine elements as each character has an elemental ability, so you can combine wind skills with fire ones, electric with water, etc. etc.
It’s what I picked up and I can’t even be bothered to leave sanctuary in BL3 now. Completely free and WAY more content.

Borderlands is often compared to Diablo. For good reasons.
I wonder what is the good Legendary vs crap gear ratio in Diablo III. :thinking:

The Beckha was a Gen 2 Pearl pretty sure… and so it had no drop source. It was just an extremely rare drop. I understand people mad cuz they never got one but I’ve seen about 10 in the years I’ve played BL2 mostly from Red chests.

(When I say fake Borderlands players)
I’m referring to people who would rather get a super rare drop from a boss that shouldn’t really be dropping that item. Or people with the “Candy store mentality” and just want (Easy mode) Because BL2 was stingy

There is no such thing as a “fake” Borderlands player though. BL1 didn’t have dedicated drops, and TPS didn’t have them either until 6 months in. These games are more than farming to some people and they couldn’t care less about dedicated rates.

Not saying they couldn’t be higher for those who do, but let’s not get carried away here.

All I know is that at this point, Borderlands 2 strikes me as re-playable fun. Borderlands 3 doesn’t have that feel.

Back in my day, REAL vault hunters would WALK the entire set of maps, from the Windshear Waste to the Eridium Blight just to complete challenges!

Bekah is a pearlescent assault rifle in Borderlands 2 manufactured by Jakobs. It was added with Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack Two: Digistruct Peak Challenge. Like all of the four Pearlescent weapons from the UVHM2 pack, it will only fall from Tubby enemies, and only after reaching level 61 while UVHM2 is installed.

back in my day we would travel to General Knox armoury just to loot all the chests and do that untill we were satisfied. And at that point BL1 lost a lot of its charm when you could cheese the game to get 25+ red chests per run without worrying about the timer

BL2 tresure room glitch is still to this day my favourite glitch in any borderlands game - effort= rewards

the woodblocker and asmd drop more then most other gear in total…
i swear i have seen less q systems, lumps, hedghogs, quickies
i have seen this thing in like half my runs of anything and thats insane

ive had maliwan takedown runs where i got like 5-10 of them PER RUN

and yes, some drop rates are lowkey unbearable

my personal hope for a future game is
start with 1 more rarity / pearls / or mayhem rarity or seraph
legendaries work as rare as bl 1-2 where it MIGHT drop
and have for harder content the higher rarity

makes annoints a seperate farmable thing like aritfacts… infact make artifacts annoints and let me equip 3 of them

make purples worth more, delete 70% of all legendary weapons in the game WEAPONS
suddenly we are gucci since all cool things are a special rarity and feel amazing
legendaries are more legendary, and could feel more impactful

my eprsonal favorite legendary RIGHT NOW is easy the hellwalker… this thing is a solid gun to get, its consistent
you only have to watch the annoint
any hellwalker drop feels like its a good drop ( as long as i doesnt have 1 of the few ■■■■ annoints a hellwalker can call bad ( which is not alot actually)

or an entire seperate set of areas wildly different from the main setting offering bonus content like caustic caverns or that town where you kill misha

or when you had secrets like this… man makes me want to go back to bl2
i can even try to spawn a special raidboss if i freaking wish to

I remember when having an orange drop gave your heart a jump.

“Wait! Was that a… a… LEGENDARY?!?”

Suddenly your whole perspective of whatever you might be in the middle of shifted (like spotting a loot midget and chasing after it in the middle of a firefight). You would rush to see what the LEGENDARY was, and even if it was something you didn’t want, you still held onto it because it was the only one that dropped that day (or whatever). In other words, LEGENDARY drops meant something. And forget it if you came across a Pearlescent. You were in heaven for a week.

Now, you kill 5 badasses and if you don’t see at least one legendary it’s like, “What the fu-heck? Did they nerf drop rates again?” And then when you do get a drop a minute later it’s, “What, ANOTHER Woodblocker? Well THAT gun is certainly living up to its name!”

Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that overall drop rates for legendaries as a whole are up significantly from previous Borderlands games. That much I think they got right. But padding the pools with crap legendaries (and trinkets and other garbage that have nothing to do with usable equipment), and then compounding any decent weapons or other gear by adding crappy annointments just turns the whole exercise into a farce. Legendaries are a dime a dozen now, and most of them are worth no more in playable value than a White rarity. It honestly takes all the excitement and FUN out of getting a “legendary” drop. So what is GB doing to address this horrible game imbalance? Anybody…?

A new frickin’ game mode where all weapons will become viable! Woo-hoo! THAT should make everyone happy with the base game (he said with heavy sarcasm).

Had a similar issue with the blood starved beast drop rate I farmed for hours and only got 1, much of the other drops either i didn’t want or kinda worthless, after it finally dropped I was done I didn’t even care what the anoit was I had it and that was it

that was me when after agonizing 6 hours of farming this fuckfest that is the rampager with its immunity phase after immunity phase, FINALY good juju dropped, and it was an actually decent weapon… i mean after m2.0 it was instant garbage but you know… it also had an annoint for amara while implay moze and zane
it wasnt even a good juju, but you know what?
IT WAS ONE AND IT WAS MINE

the difference is
getting a legendary and it just works
and then there is min maxing to make the already working legendary even better by getting the right stats on it

now its just
is the annoint good? okay no? trashbin
you dont even care for anything else, you dont even fking do the first step, you dont rly minmax either, you either have the perfect drop or dont even try to go endgame bro

we rly need to dile it back in future games, like ALOT to make it better again
