Are Level Ups & Augments Canon Story Wise?

Little known fact - all it took for the Battleborn to reach their current level of abilities was a 10 mile run and 100 crunchies every day for a few years!

Yeah, and it was REALLY hard! Apparently belly-sliding doesn’t count, AND DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO DO CRUNCHES WITH FLIPPERS?!

Well ambra had a while crew of silent sisters boiling the ocean, we are not told how long it took either. Alani had the whole ocean to attack from and remember the sisters had to be tired after what they did

All we know about galilea is that she took down hordes of thrall and jennerit, that’s something most the other battleborn can do

The ā€œactual Solusā€ meta is so different from the PVP / PVE meta!

Well, no, Orendi is still OP in both!

To be fair, I don’t think there would be an actual best or worse battleborn besides maybe caldarius (remember, even after what he’s done, he’s considered rusty) think about it, orendi may have unpredictability and power, but what about marquis standing WAY back and just shooting her, especially with a bindleblast

I know it will never ever happen, but a Pre-Sequel to Battleborn, where we can see all the factions in their full former glory before The Darkening started, would be super badass.

While I will admit that Ambra was not alone for the boiling it was described by Ambra as being done ā€œin one motionā€ implying that it didn’t take long and it would be an impressive feat in any amount of time because of the rate of heat radiating out from the surface area of an entire planet. Alanis retaliation was after the ocean was vaporized and they were on the Jennerit ship at the time. I’m not sure where you get the [quote=ā€œcadecampbell, post:24, topic:1561372ā€]

Nor does it make sense that the sisters would be tired. From what? Waving their staffs around?
I will admit that Galileas kill count is less than impressive by some standards and other characters might be able to match or exceed it. I’m just going by what it says in the lore and she has plenty else going for her. The jennerit who can live for over 16,000 years are envious of her races longevity for example.

They had the oceans put into the ships water reserves after the boiling. And you got me on the one fell swoop part. On being tired, more than likely the silent sisters mentally drained, can’t be simple to use those staffs with no consequence

Very true, but it could mean only in combat prowess, and we don’t know if corruption by lore may make her have less finesse, but we do know it’s a Hella buff

Honestly I wish we had more vids like the intro, we see what bindlebane can do, link have multiple huge blasts shot out at one, what precept is REALLY capable of, and how strong rath is, and stuff like that, but we don’t know what more others are

If I remember correctly, Mellka managed to defeat 6 (?) Conservators on her own. Considering how that manifests itself in gameplay, I can’t say I imagine the actual game and augments have too much canonical weight. Alani on the other hand, I could easily see genociding the silent sisters by constantly slaying and healing like a rage fueled machine. In any case, if these gene alterations are canonical, we have to question how changing genetics allows one to summon space lasers. If anyone finds an answer to that question, please tell me (I want space lasers too).

Actually, how DOES oscar mike have access to airstrikes and space lasers

The solarius staff is a piece of advanced alien technology. It may not require any more effort(mental or otherwise) to use than it would for kleese to generate a black hole but I guess we will never know for sure.

I suppose, but if that were true than why can only silent sisters use them, and why can’t rendain just give lots of jennerit the staff to just meteor everything, plus ambra does call summoning a ritual, which sounds like it would require focus

During the final days of the Battle of Penarch, Vigilant Operative Mellka Hyenyota fought and defeated a ā€œswarmā€ of seven Conservators. Four of the Conservators were so physically broken that their death-deconstitution (surmised to be a sort of automatic battle injury recovery mechanism for the Varelsi) did not activate, leaving behind the first Conservator corpses ever recovered for close observation.

Defeated 7. Killed 4. In addition to over 200 scaven and skulks. Not bad for one sitting.

The staffs power does not come from the staff or Ambra but rather it is used to harness the power of the sustainment engine. The secret of sustainment has been closely guarded for millennia and for good reason. You don’t just hand out the keys to your equivalent nuclear arsenal to every grunt on the battlefield and the sustainment engine has more utility than a nuke. Such as granting immortality for example. A ritual can mean almost anything. Catholics making the sign of the cross in front of them is a ritual and it does not require much effort.

Good point, but rendain hasnt Rendain also ruined the sanctity of sustainment and changed a lot of rules, like letting political figures get it, and while not hand it to everyone, why not make a variant that can’t be used for the sustainment engine

Without the sustainment engine it is a fancy stick. The silent sisters are loyal to the empress. They are groomed from a young age for a lifetime of service to the empire not rendain. They are scientists as much or more than they are clergy and they alone know how to operate and maintain the sustainment engine. Idk why they can’t have smaller versions of the sustainment engine on every thralls back but I can understand why they wouldn’t want to. Sustainment is the pride of thier people and what sets them apart from the ā€œlower racesā€ the irony is that it is just a piece of technology that can be bestowed upon anyone. if anyone but the silent sisters ever learned to make their own sustainment engine then the jennerit would lose their monopoly on immortality and high born and lowborn alike would have access to it.
It reminds me of silk. The method of producing silk was kept secret by monks for hundreds of years. I doubt if the local government had the secret to its production or that the secret would have remained as such if they had.

Where does it say the staff needs the sustainment engine to summon meteors and use fire
