Are You A Glutton For BattleBorn Punishment?

…Correct, but it was still fun to post such an imbalance :smile:

I’m a perfectionist and a worrier in every aspect of my life, but when I got into gaming I made myself a firm promise: it doesn’t matter a single bit whether I’m good or bad at this. So even though I like to win, it really doesn’t bother me when I lose. I can have fun either way, and that’s what matters. :triumph:

I know a lot of my comrades feel differently, of course, and losing can be quite stressful for them. The rage quitters are a pain though.

All I’m missing is a big old
#AMEN!
But yes, yes I am. And I think I might have a problem. If there are more of you that are like me, I’m thinking about starting Busted By Battleborn, or B4, to be our Battleborn AA.

I can´t say I actually like it to loose, but I strangely love it to feel that unyielding rage if I get steamrolled. It literally gives me fuel, angry, enraged fuel.
Its even better when a teammate wants to surrender after the first Sentry falls and the 4 others say “No way!” jumping in battle to let them suffer hell for every further inch - AMAZING!
I guess its just a slight adrenaline rush, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

Does this make any sense to anyone? :smile:

I read this as one of those come on down infomercial. At the end it should say “COME ON DOWN TO FLAMES CRAZY PVP MATCH UPS!”

I feel the exact same way.

…I fully understand and think you painted the feeling very well. :wink:

Yep, I’m the same. I rarely like to surrender even if the match has turned into an enactment of the apocalypse. I want to make them fight for it, and I’ve often improved my playing by doing so (if nothing else, it’s really good to watch great players in action, even if it hurts). Plus it feels amazing when you do get an unexpected turnaround.

It’s always so great when someone expresses your exact experience.

GREAT way to put it!

I have to admit it’s a spcial kind of Hate / Love. I don’t have too much trouble holding my own against people but there always those situations were you want to put the controller down and just step away for a while.

Good example of that is when you are taking on someone and their team comes to assist, so you do the smart thing and pull back to your fully stocked team mates that you seriously hope see that 1. You are low on health 2. there 2-3 enemies chasing you and mostly dead themselves 3. They do nothing to help you out and let the enemy team chase you down and kill you.

After playing through things like Kingdom Hearts on level 1 critical, and Furi at any difficulty, I relish the chance to adapt while failing over and over. And then after hitting my head against a brick wall over and over, coming back and getting on the first try with ease is always the best (abuse the shower principle).

Ugh, the horrors.
I can only imagine doing KH2.5 at level 1, Critical, and beating Marluxia…the amount of time that would take for me to succeed…

I’m somewhere in the middle. I like a challenge, but if it’s edge of wire, one wrong move and you fail chalkenging, I’ll pass. I have enough stress in my life, don’t need more.

@diekthx

KH 2.5?

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 is what im assuming he is referring to.

@lostkrouu

Ah, yes.

Yeah…thought I hit the reply to button @epicender584. Guess I didn’t. Lol.
But yeah, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 on level 1 Critical is full masochist mode if you decide to fight the optional bosses.

Believe it or not, it’s not the bosses. It’s the simple mobs. You can learn bosses, but mobs are harder. Especially because they out you much farther back than dying to just a boss.
