I’m hoping that they create a new Arms Race map in the future and put in the basic form of each action skill (but no anointments). Make it a Dragon’s Keep style with Tiny Tina voicing it and we’re off to an awesome start.

The more I watch the “dream team” streamers play the less I want to play arms race myself…
They seem to have fun because they are bros (and because they have to promote the game at all costs… But that’s another story…) but with a job and a wife my gaming time cannot be coordinated with other players and I’m sure matchmaking with strangers would be a complete nightmare…
I hope I will be proven wrong and solo play will be a blast :crossed_fingers:

Solo play will be easy but whether it will be a blast in the long run might be questionable.

That’s the reason why I won’t be getting the DLC or rather why I’m not paying for it…

I would have payed them for the mansion map and for maliwan takedown (screw GTD crystal ■■■■■■■■ though)

The skilltree’s are a bit to late to the party (everybody is already drunk and going home) and arms race is just a map where they disabled everything and just looks and sounds boring AF

someone gimme some insight here, but isn’t most of our damage coming from anoints class mods and guardian perks?

I never used guardian perks, but i know you can do crazy things with them, and my damage is pretty good, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten as high as many posts I’ve seen.

If so I’d think having our skills & abilities alone in arms race should be completely fine.
Considering arms race doesn’t even drop equippable class mods.

I think exiting IB should be a double tap to prevent accidental exits. This could be a single tap as you don’t want to not respawn.

I wonder if they still play arms race after release. After 2 or 3 weeks it should get boring.
Worst aspect, You can’t test some builds or gear combination there :scream: horrible

Ps: Thats no criticism to those 4 youtubers, they’re doing a great job. Its not their fault, that the product they promote sucks.
And I like when one says ‘I got a tediore rush to the boss’ and it happens alot :laughing:

Arms Race needs a lot of work. It has potential, but is pretty lacking as it stands now.

-The first huge problem, which makes absolutely no sense, is you can’t use the new skill tree or any new gear you find while playing the mode.

-Second, you have to run to an “extractor”- to get your new loot.(a ‘murder cane’ I.e. death storm always seems to blow in when you’re trying to reach an extractor. This is just a bad idea.

-Murder Cane is a terrible idea. How are we supposed to explore the map? Murder Cane really kills Arms Race for me. It needs to be dialed down or removed. Just terrible.

-You can’t use any of the gear or skills you’ve spent a year acquiring or building. I know this is contrary to the Arms Race concept, but it would just make it more fun if you could pick at least one of your favorite items if you’ve maxed out the game. Or let us choose weapons from a tiered system based on your Mayhem Rank.

-Why aren’t there ranks in Arms Race that afford you certain privileges? Say after 10 boss kills you can spawn in with one legendary. After 50 You can use three. After 75 you can use one skill tree.

Starting from scratch is going to get old really quick.

so far i am enjoying arms race but i fear once all the new weapons are farmed out then it will become a ghost town.

Not really much to keep players going back in

I think this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever played. It’s not fun at all. I’ve played for an hour and never lasted more than 30 seconds without dying. I have no idea what I’m even supposed to do–is there a direction you’re supposed to go?

stay in the circles
Look for a tediore gun
go kill boss, its the red skull

game mode can be finished in a minute if you get the right guns from the start

you can also kill the boss with a good nade

I have gotten some purple trackers that did major damage

paired them with a white tediore and destroyed the final boss

Yep. Find any nade with ogt and a tediore and it’s relatively easy, especially if the nade and tediore are homing.

Unfortunately I die before finding anything usable. Though I’ve found a dozen new legendary items that were lost b/c I couldn’t find an extraction point.

The waypoint indicator needs a ton of work as well. I put it on an extraction point or ammo drop and then I get to the spot and there’s nothing in the area.

I’ll just have to live without the new gear and hope whatever content comes out in the Spring is playable.

Still can’t believe they didn’t increase vault space with all of the new gear we’ve got access to now. Or they could just add a half-competent search/filter feature so we can find the gear we need and ditch the chaff.
