Why is there no grenade in the starting box for arms race. Seems like a no brainer here… you get a pistol and one other gun and a shield… and another shield… WTF. if grenades are useless without a mod then why do we not get a mod? any mod will do but it seems that they don’t want us to have that at the start. I have gone 4-5 min into the DLC and still no grenade. WTF

How about arms race spawning guns with action skill anoints? What’s with that? I know you can extract them but I don’t think anyone is extracting whites, blues, and greens. Even purples.
A mode dedicated to no skill trees, that spawns guns that get bonuses on action skills. Like why.

One time I got a white class mod dropped for Amara (while playing with Moze) and I was like, “Whaaat?” I guess they used the actual coding for Arms Race regarding the “drop mechanics”. I’m dumb on this, but I’m not sure if they could code a new “drop mechanic system” only for Arms Race which filters out action skill anointed weapons. Or they might left in there on purpose for a reason you mentioned. There might be people who DO extract non-legendary items.

I extract non legendaries for challenge runs. So there ya go.

In what sense - like when you find a really nice blue or purple in Arms Race that one of your allegiance/challenge character can use?

I personally find that I tend to head to AR purely for their exclusive gear. Gameplay does have this ‘edge of the seat’ quality though, which is almost gone from main game (outside of hardest content I tend to avoid).

I hate arms race purely because you can have a great run going but then a random grenade or barrel insta gibs you and if you’re solo (which I always am) you can’t revive. That’s my biggest gripe, lost two separate ~20 minute runs to killing all enemies and one dropping a live grenade and hitting a barrel.

I have a toon that does extract-a-build DLC runs.

So I reset TVHM, extract as many pieces of gear as I can in one run then take it through the Handsome Jackpot, for example, letting the extracted gear dictate what build to make.

It’s a fun challenge when I’m bored.
