Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion (Story Ops DLC 1)

Not bad for an Army guy huh…a Navy analogy…LOL

@Rivaire Yes, I have forgotten how important the creativity aspect is to folks like this. They are businessmen…but artists first.

And yes I worry too much…LOL I actually did not mind Holodome…just thought that it should have been a 1/4 part of a DLC story. It was so small in content. I actually kind of liked TPS after they patched it and corrected a bunch of really bad ideas like non-farmable bosses. The problem with TPS in my mind was the overall small amount of content although the last DLC was superb.

Agreed

Sorry for the late replies here, guys. Getting caught up on forum stuff since before PAX.

Story Ops will be for a total of three players.

…Thanks, that part confused a lot of us.

I wish I could refund my season pas but alas, I did not buy it direct on Steam and so have wasted my money :frowning:

I’m genuinely sorry you feel that way. If there’s anything that I can personally do to change the perception that you wasted your money, I hope you’ll reach out and let me know! :slight_smile:

Could you elaborate on why you feel that way?

I’m not trying to disregard what you’re feeling, but if you provide more details than just “I have wasted my money”, perhaps the reasons you have could be taken into consideration for future content.

If you don’t ask or don’t provide informationa as to why you feel the way you do, you can’t expect them to try to change anything. Perhaps you have great ideas that they hadn’t yet considered, or perhaps they had considered those ideas, but didn’t think people would be interested in them.

Your feedback could be the difference of something great being added to the game or something hitting the chopping block because they didn’t think people would want it.

Cheers.

If you read any of his other posts before in other threads, you would have got your answer.

The abridged version is that he liked the 5 man dungeon type of design, wanted to continue playing it with 5 man (perhaps because he went out of his way to make extra friends,) and now the future content will not bring the same thrill 5 man raids could provide. He’s not buying into the 3 man dynamic when everything else in this game was designed for 5 man.

I personally love the option of 5 man missions, and yet somehow GBX believes that the majority want 3 man. I definitely didn’t have a chance to offer my opinion, I would never suggest something that ludicrous. The only reason I played 3 man missions as often as I did wasn’t because I enjoyed it, but it was because the matchmaking kept forming 3 man parties after queuing for many minutes. I always wanted to play with a minimum of 4, but had to settle for 3 (I quit 2 man raids immediately without question) when I didn’t want to wait in queue any longer than I already have.

If 30 minute missions feel like a slog, it’s because the pacing, rewards, and lack of boss mix ups were hindering the experience. You don’t just take out the 5 man feature and reduce mission length as a justification. It looks like corners were cut and the real issues weren’t properly addressed.

This is another low population problem screwing the experience.

Gotcha. I didn’t think to read previous posts. I apologize for that.

I definitely hear your concerns. I will personally reserve judgment until it’s out, but I have also met many people since I started playing that I’d love to form 5 man groups with.

My reason for stating that they should voice their concerns when stating a critique is simply because "maybe (big one, I know) if it’s said enough, perhaps they can alter some of the remaining dlc to actually be five man.

No need to apologize. I don’t expect people to follow other people’s posts. Only lunatics like myself do that, once in a while.

Yeah, that’s why I’m making an effort to voice out my interests. I have no idea where this 3 man preference came from, but I already don’t like how it is just implemented. If the DLC is structured well enough for a 3 man, maybe it would be fine, yet the last thing I want GBX to believe is that 5 man should be taken out of the equation in the future.

I agree. Like you, 3 is my low limit for PVE content (I have no desire to do 2 man missions).

I have a hunch based on absolutely nothing that part of the reason it might be 3 man is due to the low player count. Tje player count will be even lower when split between those with the dlc and those without.

I’m anticipating the PC community to be a diseased and blighted graveyard by October.

Not sure how much more fractured the player count could get.

It’s hardly a good sign.

@Rivaire

Sadly you are wrong. Disease and blight won’t grow without a living host.
But nice imagery.

@Rivaire,
Additionally you could use: sterile, desolate, stark, arid, infertile, uncultivated, uninhabited.
Of course that is just pilling on.
