Australian Servers Issues (Post Your Data Here)

I’ve had so many different error messages I’ve lost count.

Sometimes it takes legit 15+ minutes just to get past the home screen due to various server malfunctions.

Then when a splitscreen co-op partner tries to login it fails repeatedly as well, then we usually drop out of matches anyway due to server connection problems.

Yes my internet is garbage but it’s the best thing available in my area.

I live in Hong Kong, and i play with my friend who live in Japan on PS4. We always get red bar in PVP.

Interestingly, we can get green bar in some PVP games. Why??

As checked, whole players are Asia, Australia. Don’t have any North America or Europe players.

So, it seems Battleborn’s connection don’t have any public server for game play.

When you start a game with 9 Players, the system will define 1 player to be a Host.
If the player connection is poor or get too far with you. Then, you’ll get poor connection.

I know Gearbox can’t change the PVP connection type anymore.
However, i think they could add some rule in Matchmaking system.

Lag’s not been good tonight. And I seem to be the sole red bar in my matches. I guess Aus/NZ players are getting rarer… This is sad. I am sad!

I was the sole red bar in 3 straight matches earlier today. Not fun… :disappointed:

Sticky bombs don’t stick so well when your enemy is half way across the map before the game registers your button input, or the lag makes enemy players look like they’re teleporting lol

Manage to do pretty good considering I was the only one with the red bad in the lobby now if only we had green bars

Just had a match with all but two were green bar.

Was an amazing game without lag but will by my only green game till next week I feel.

Yeh sticky bombs are like the hardest skill to use in lag. I’ve never had to lead a target so much in my life. They already go wherever they want anyway.

90% of my matches feel like my toon is a drunken sailor.

I can’t hit the massive shards at point blank range half the time.

RIP Aus internet.

I shoot from point blank, or from a flank position when I’m next to or behind them and they aren’t moving. Otherwise I just shoot into the messy fray of team mates, bots, and enemy players and hope for the best LOL

Lag was much worse last night. What is going on?

I’m going to pretend that they’re trying to fix the servers and are just testing different methods, which would account for why they seem to be so up and down lately.

HAHAHAHAHhahahahahaaaaaaa… :weary:

Day 23: no change in server connection issues

To be honest i’d love to actually play a game, even with terrible lag. So far i’ve been having 40min-hour long wait times for matchmaking. Managed to play 2 games yesterday in 4 hours :frowning:

The lag remains unpleasant, but I still tore up a streak of Incursion matches last night as Mellka (the best of them was 17-1, but the others were pretty similar.) I guess I’ve played with the delay so much, I’m just used to it by now. Still can’t land melee hits or Claw Lunge on a moving target, though - by the time the server recognizes I’ve swung, they’re out of range.

I don’t know. I feel like I’m effectively locked out of the melee cast. I get a frustrating number of assists and outright escapes when I know that, with green bars, I’d have sealed the deal. I hate-hate-hate rubberbanding when I’m trying to escape.

Still kind of a badass, though. Tell your friends.

I rely on her Spike a lot for both escape and slowing melee attackers. If you’re not hitting that trigger half a second early then it more often than not ends with instadeath.

Here’s Rath rolling in with catalytic smash +3 sec silence helix into a dreadwind juggle. I hit Spike too late and end up dead because of the input lag :disappointed_relieved:

I know this video can’t actually show the lag, but trust me… I definitely hit that R1 trigger before Rath got in so close…

I know that feeling exactly! I’m always thrilled to get the AOE increase on Spike at level 6. It makes it much more forgiving.

My trick lately is to stack on defensive items. Max health, health regen. Gives me a little extra time to hang in a fight or to escape it, and as red bar assassins, a little extra time is all we need

Any progress on this front GBX?

Lag tonight is worse than usual and I am really struggling to enjoy this game at the moment. Which is sad considering we payed the same as everyone else but end up with a subpar experience for almost a month now. The game is great but it does not handle lag well, at all.

Some Battleborn are near unplayable, anyone with a dash or quick double jump is useless because you either end up faceplanting a wall you weren’t actually aiming at or just do this wierd little vibrate in the air and don’t actually go anywhere. Caldarius is particularly bad for this so his high mobility advantage is a lot less useful.

I’m not one to throw ‘threats’ around about going to play OW or trading in the game, that solves nothing and does nothing to further the situation.
I honestly just want to play this game lag free consistently and not get frustrated by ridiculous lag.

For whatever reason the other thread complaining about a PC issue that is not obviously discussed (if it was at all) in this topic was locked, which is a real shame, since its a entirely separate issue, Australian Matchmaking Issues (PC).

But Ill play this game anyway: long story short we can get onto the games login servers and the east coast Australian server/s, our issue is about how the servers do matchmaking to get into games.

The PC community is dying because matchmaking simply doesn’t work, either the very limited player base is always differently skilled by whatever system tries to make balanced games or it just doesn’t want to pair multiple 5man teams that are actively talking to each other trying to get paired into the same game on the same search.

It can take multiple hours to even get a game in peak time, which is insanity.

The fact that Australian community is so small on PC they all talk to each other so we can find out when the system is just being broken instead of no one is online.

We simply need whatever balance searching system to fall back and just pair ANY games it can make with whoever is currently searching instead of trying to get similarly skilled players and a unified game mode search so that the small community isn’t split with searching between the 3 modes, most people just constantly jump modes until they find anyone the system is willing to match them with.

Post your data here please. Anything else doesn’t help the devs resolve it, if they have to hunt out the useful posts.
