I would not use RLs at all: they can’t crit, so you have no benefit from them by shooting it in the eye.

It’s funny: with other character, I can feel badass constructors as being a threat…but as Salvador… I really never had a problem with them: just stand in front of them and pound away with a corrosive gun and down they go. :stuck_out_tongue:

If you’re talking specifically getting to Bunker the best way is to just charge up to the area where the badass constructor spawns and deal with him from the stairs- you get cover and won’t have to deal with all the other enemies. Once he’s gone head straight towards Bunker- staying in that area will draw all the other enemies to you. If you mean constructors in general, just try to get as close as possible- even the ultimate badass one in Opportunity can be dealt with if you take cover in the cargo container and just pop out to hit it between rocket barrages…

I seldom use RL’s normally, That’s why I asked. Maybe I was missing something.
I did realize this morning after checking my inventory that I was still using my L72 Leg Berzerker mod instead
of my Evil Monk with a +39% Critical. Might have helped a wee bit :bulb:

It had been a very long time that I’d even run into constructors I pretty much forgot how to deal with them.
Just reading this reminded me of doing just that… hiding up near the stairs around the corner of the building and peeking out and firing away when clear to do so.
Getting there in UVHM will be a bit trickier than previous levels. Maybe I’ll try a dead run but I’m guessing I’ll have to slow it down a remove some of the enemies first. Surveyors come to mind. They’re the one’s who were creating such havoc as I was trying to eliminate the ground forces. I had to lure 2 outside the wall to get rid of them. But once I got back in, More appeared…Yay!!

Thanks again guys.

I did charge my way to the stairs (after a miscue in the wrong spot) lol. Close to death many times and once went into FFYL. Luckily hit something below the BA Constructor for 2nd wind. Great battle.
BNK3R was easy with the grog and a Purple Corrode SMG but it didn’t drop anything. 1 purple…1 :worried:
Previous levels and even farming a bit in TVHM and I’ve never got any Legs to drop.

Other things I went after:
Black Queen in the dust, Many runs and about 10 times the BQ showed…Nothing. Still no Tubbies either.

Clan wars, Choose to kill tector for the Slagga. Got a purple Chulainn.
Tried a bunch more times, Nothing yet. Not important but would like to get.

Lynchwood: Finally got to the draw with the Sheriff, Hoping for the ‘Andy Taylor’ but got the ‘Barney Fife’.
:stuck_out_tongue:
Other levels I always got the Sheriff’s Badge and Deputy. Now farming for this will be a pain in the butt.
Still a must have if I want to play with those Builds eventually.

Got the Bad Touch Flakker for saving Butt Stallion ( I think I called her Butt Pirate in another thread. )

Got 3 BEE’s in the forest in 1 night. all similar, Just some #'s different. Picked the best. Been fun to play with but will stay with Adaptive for now. Nice to have the DPUH drop somewhere now.

Doc Mercy hasn’t dropped anything but a green.

Got my first Seraph in an Expl RL from a red chest. Interesting little thing as I killed myself 3 times testing it before thinking I should test it outside the shooting range. Reminds me of the Flakker a bit.

Question Time !!

  • Where would the BT Flakker be at it’s best? I know there’s a learning curve to this one and I never found it back in TVHM.
Since I haven’t been using Expl shotties much anymore, I could get rid of one and just keep the Flakker. Inventory getting maxed again.

  • Are there any specialty weapons that fall under the same category as the good/bad touch Moxxi ?
(Meaning if you got it in a previous level you can’t get it again with the same character )
I don’t want to waste farming time for something that’ll never drop.
I don’t remember previous levels such as the ‘Slagga’ or ‘Maggie’ if I got them or not.

You can only get seraphs from the seraph vendor or Raid bosses (excluding Terra, and dexi). You were probably confusing it to a e-tech bandit RPG.

The Stinkpot, a corrosive only AR in the Capt Scarlett dlc drops from No Beard but you only get 1 shot per character at it (unless you reset your play thru in UVHM). And while not a weapon the Pot of Gold shield drops from the Bagman during the Clan Wars missions against the Zaffords. You can dashboard farm for this since the Bagman is a 1 time only enemy but unless your a competionist don’t bother- it’s not that great of a shield…

Sorry, I was confusing the pink lettering (seraphs?) and mine was the very light blue lettering. It was just a different blue than used to seeing. Got a little excited there I guess.

Both sound familiar as I probably got them in earlier modes with Sal. I think I’m done with clan wars and no PoG. I’ll watch for the Stinkpot. I probably won’t be resetting UVHM with Sal as I’ve done all 3 modes with him. I’d rather try another character. Sounds good that these are the only one’s that drop once. Farming time for other things !!
Thanks.

First, “Bad touch” is the prefix. That means yours has a blade on it. Any Torgue shotgun with a blade will be the “bad touch something”

To use it at it’s best, the Flakker should have the “casual” prefix and a Torgue grip.
Then, as of actually using it, the Flakker really works great on BIG targets, where you can land most of the flakks.

It has a real steep learning curve though, I would stay away from it for now.

Like Carlton said, the Stinkpot and Pot of gold are one-shot only…but they both suck so it’s not a problem.

The good touch can be gotten any number of times, it’s just the bad touch that can only be gotten once per character.

Since the Flakker and the BEE were my only Leg items in the 1st 2 modes I kept it and used it occasionally.
Found out quickly being able to back away after shooting helped. After many 2nd wind/FFYL moments.
Any certain bosses that it would be the “go to” item?

I keep hearing and reading about the grips and preferred ones. Since I don’t get these items that often, I’m happy with the ones that I get.
OK, Stupid question time. Where does it show what grip it is? In the prefix? I just don’t see the info in the description.
(as with the Grog, each time you quit/save there can be a different prefix and what I assume that the grip is different…also the stats somewhat)

As for the good/bad touch, I’ve seen so many opinions on getting them.
-Some say you can get both no matter if had in previous modes, (same character)
-Then I read you can’t have 2 Moxxie weapons on you while trying for them.
-You can just tip the 100’s and not tip while she’s talking.
I would just like to get one of them, for the sake of doing it in UVHM and being able to compare it’s stats with my current fire SMG. And being a Moxxie, It should heal too?

I’m getting clogged up in my inventory with some of the Leg items I’m getting. I like to have a good variety of grenades have 13 or so …but really only use my 5-6 Legs. Tough to weed out.
Same with Corrosive Pistols. Just got the Leg Loaded Hornet, along with the L Gub and the Teapot. Just tested them last night in the firing range and the stats are somewhat similar. Not one stands out. One has more DPS, another has really nice fire rate and another burst. Driving me nuts.

I’ll have to give up some relics that seem worthy but yet used like one with resistance to the 3 elem’s and slag. High % too. Another allegiance to tourgue weapons , Dmg and one other but +69%.

It’s funny after you mentioned about how bad the Turtle shields and the spiker/darts type pistols are, they show up usually deep purple on the train more that anything else. LOL.

OK, all of that “you can’t have that many moxxi guns on you” is all ■■■■■■■■.
The only rule is if you tip Moxxi repeatedly, you will get a gun. If it’s the first time, you will get the Bad touch. Every other time you will get the good touch. (you need to save and quit after each gun)

You can however, get as many bad touch as you want on consoles by creating a new character in split screen, giving him money and having him tip Moxxi in your main character’s game. Since your game’s level is based on your main character’s level, the Bad touch will be at his level, just give it to your main character, save and quit, delete the new character and repeat.

If you don’t use it, toss it :slightly_smiling:

With any other character, I woujld tell you to go with the Hornet (or maybe the Teapot)
But on Sal, the Gub is much better since you can’t really ADS wih him.

Keep the Torgue Allegiance for later, trash the rest

Rarity isn’t the end-all, be-all. A Twister is blue, but a Ravager can be purple and the former does more damage. Go by performance and not rarity.

Absolutely. I’ve been having to test and compare with all the Legendary drops lately. Many of my purples fit my style better and/or outperform the oranges.

On PC so that’s out.
If you don’t use it, toss it :slightly_smiling:
I know…I know…But I like the “Pulls in” grenades for larger groups and I keep the lvl50 magic missile for regen even tho I also have a Lightning Bolt for that. …and yet I haven’t used them lol. Pretty much been going with the L Fire Bee and the L Longbow Storm Front and the L Longbow Bonus Pkg.

Hmmm, Out of the 3 I thought the Gub was not top choice. I’ll have to test all of them in the field now.

Thanks for the chart!! Reading the descriptions makes more sense how they improve each weapon. Now I have to recognize visually …and then keep checking back to the chart.

Yep, Just ran her 7 times and 7 guns. 2nd one was a Consumate Good Touch.
I even had 4 in my slots to disprove the theory.
I just tipped $100 quickly and slowed while she talked. Probably made no difference but did what I heard.
A couple appeared in her 2nd sentence and she even interrupted herself.

Last time I even bothered trying I did the 1K’s and after 200-250K I just gave up.

Now the question is…Do I keep the Consumate GT 68023 Dmg and 15.6% Ign chance, Or the Good Touch 64641 Dmg and 17.5% ign chance? Either way they annihilate my “Go To” Fire Smg with 101391 Dmg and 53k Dps.

You’re Sal- why not use them both? :sunglasses:

IMO, SMGs are not a good choice on Sal…they’re not powerful enough.

At TVHM/UVHM perhaps- but in Normal they should still hold fine- even better if he can find a slag weapon early on…

The OP is in UVHM :slightly_smiling:

and it’s a good advice in general for Sal: he has ammo use mitigation in many forms, so it makes sense to use powerful guns that are balanced by their shallow ammo pool (like shotguns, RLs and Snipers)
