Not it doesn’t give you the tokens back. And it sounds like you got the valdof grip.

Yep valdof grip. Also if your wondering that’s the jakobs sight.

So how much better with the “perfect” Harold?
I’ve read there are trade offs for each accessory, Like better Dmg but less mag size and so on.
I’ve been having fun with the classic DPUH/Grog/Bee but I don’t want it to be my main use…Just when needed
I guess. I’ll check the machine again soon for the chance of getting better.
Thanks for the confirmation.

If I’m not mistaken the matching grip gives you a bigger mag and faster reload. And since its a torgue grip you get the increased damage. The valdof grip gives you higher fire rate but decreases damage. Also no matching grip bonus

The matching Torgue grip is more important than the DP prefix IMO
A Harold without that prefix but with the right grip is much better than one with the DP prefix but the wrong grip.
Grips: all have tradeoffs, but matching the grip with the manufacturer adds a bonus on top: Extra mag size and better reload speed) Like Pie said, Torgue grips increase damage. The drawback is reduced accuracy (which we really don’t care about since it has a very wide spread to begin with and it has a fixed pattern)
Accessories: Sometimes have tradeoffs, but it’s usually to your benefit. (as in: the bonus is larger than the drawback)
The DP Harold offers officially the highest DPS of them all, but IMO it’s not necessary at all. I prefer the Explicit or Hard prefix personally.
Thanks for the info. I tried about 50 quit/saves in the Beatdown on the 1st vending machine and the same in the bar.
Only twice did a Harold even show up. Thanks RNG.
One was an Explicit. Maybe I’ll get one you mentioned to play around with and compare with my DPUH.
It would be nice if they had a prefix saying “Perfect DPUH”
As much fun it’s been to be able to have/use the DPUH/Grog/BEE or Neogenator, I find myself using it pretty much for everything now. Almost feels like cheating. ( I haven’t tried it on any main bosses yet.)
With all my new toys that keep showing up I need to get back to them and find other combos and get my battle play back. The DPUH combo is so strong that I’m getting a little sloppy. But then again, Whatever works right?
I think I’ll use this to get after the Sheriff’s Badge as a few runs took a lot of effort and even ammo just to get close. But this was before getting all these new things.
Having my Shock Topneaa for the bar has been…a blast…
Dropping to TVHM takes no time at all. Even tho first time I didn’t realize the tokens capped at 999, and I did about 5 more runs before noticing. oops.
Even doing it at UVHM works but I run out of RL ammo sometimes and of course it takes longer.

If your can’t find a torgue grip dpuh I would get a torgue grip hard one. IMO the fire rate prefix is unneeded on sal because he can boost fire rate a lot.
Grip > Prefix
If you’re like me and hate farming, I would just take the first Harold with a Torgue grip that shows up, regardless of the prefix.
Torgue grip is much more important than the prefix.
Prefix that are good:
Explicit
Hard
DP
Prefix that are OK:
Mag size
Intense
Prefix that are basically like not having one:
The gunstock one
The blade
The cool thing is that the 2 least desirable are the easiest to spot.
Funny you should say that…On only my 2nd attempt on the vending machine a Stiff UH with a Torgue grip showed up.
(I went to my wife’s computer to check the pic and sure enough) Has the 3 rivets and plate.
I used it and ran around the beatdown and didn’t feel it was less than the DPUH. I could see my targets a bit better.
It has 238754 dmg and better Acc, FR and RS. Just 2 less in the mag compared to the DPUH
206920 X 2
Then used it to complete the Torgue campaign starting with Motor Momma (quite easily) and through the rest of the tournament.
I had meant to switch to the BEE with the bosses but forgot and made it using my Neogenator. Kinda like that thing now.
I still might try for another Torgue grip with a ‘Hard’ or DPUH, But it’s not a priority now.
Other than today the RNG is rarely kind to me so I’m not big on farming, But to get my bucket list complete I’ll have to include doing that too.
Need to field test some of my rewards, Mainly some blues with red text before coming back with some questions/opinions.
I did also get the Leg Fabled Tortoise, Holeee Cr4p 2525485 Cap. Might have to keep it even tho since it was mentioned the Turtles and Sal don’t gel together I haven’t used or have in inventory.
Inventory space is maxing again. I’m such a hoarder.

Stiff is the accuracy prefix right. Also the fabeled tortoise slows you down when its not depleted ans gives you a speed boost when it is. I wouldn’t worry to much about getting a better harold unless you plan on doing the op levels
Question or a statement? Either way it does have better Accuracy and it is the prefix.
Once I’m satisfied with my bucket list the only place to go is the OP levels I guess.
But yeah, Like I said it’s not a priority right now.
I know the Tortoise’s +'s and -'s, Being slowed down goes way against my play style but I have to try it sometime before giving it up for inventory space.

OK the first part was a question lol
Also I like the shield myself and on sal its always gonna be depleted and makes it easier to health gate with a grog/whatever
your using
I made the mistake of having a ton of level 72 gear and then deciding to do the op levels lol. Lucky for me I decided to play new characters and pass the gear to them.
Nope, Explicit is
Stiff it the Gunstock (or stability) one
Very slight increase in accuracy (like 1% or something) and recoil is much better.
Accuracy isn’t very important with the Harold, though it does tighten the spread a bit.
The reason I think explicit is a good prefix is not the accuracy bonus, it’s because it also increases bullet speed.
But since it uses 3 bullets per shot instead of 6, you actually get more shots out of yours
good. The Bee is a crutch, especially with Sal. You’ll grow to love the Neo.
Since under 50% of my weapons are Legs (plenty of L grenades) and the rest really good purples I take it you’re saying Don’t do It !!
I imagine I have to have at least all Leg’s and/or Seraph weapons before considering OP.
I’m about to try Pete again now that I’ve finished the story line and see if he drops Seraphs now.
I only consider the Bee when I’m not going to take much damage, 1 on 1. Otherwise I know you’re not getting it’s effect…
I do keep it for farming the Train. My ‘Good Touch’/Grog/BEE annihilates Big Frosty in seconds.
About the NEO, Will using any mod or relic that has +% shield recharge affect the Neo in any way?
My Relic has a Shield cap +32% and RR +32%.
The Neo has taken the top slot as my go to shield passing my Adaptive for now. (Depending on situations)
While you need effective gear for the Peak it doesn’t all have to be legendary- indeed, some of the best weapons (depending on your VH and play style) will be the unique quest reward items you get- Pimpernel and Sand Hawk ring a bell?

What you said since qutoing on my phone is hard

What I’m saying lol
I myself find level 72 to easy for moat characters and op8 isn’t to hard but I actually have to pay attention lol. If you ever get to the point where you find lvl 72 easy than by all means the peak offers a great challenge. Beating the op7 peak to unlock op8 is harder than any op8 mob IMHO

Ughh…Was feeling pretty good about my weapons and how I cruised through the rest of Torgue’s campaign/tourney.
From Motor mama to the end. Time to hit up Pete.
Now I expected it to be tougher than what I just did but it was a slap in the face.
I used my Grog and either the DPUH or the stiff w/T-grip UH. Along with my purple shock SMG and my Topneaa (just in case)
Since I had grog for slag, I used my Longbow storm front (shock) grenades, And started with the Neogenator.
Wanting to see if I could beat him from the floor I started my attack. To my horror my first wave took very little off his shield.
Started with the SMG/Grog…switched to DPUH and some improvement but nothing showing this was going to get it done.
I love seeing vids where people can hide around corners when he does his corrode blast and in general as he stays around the middle. Not in my case as every time he’d come right up and corner me, Leading to hitting the rinse and releasing the spider ants. (fine, I needed the 2nd winds)
After much time circling and rinsing I still hadn’t got his shield out yet. Even the Topneaa wasn’t doing anything noticable.
After dying I tried it again and eguipted my Hyperion shock shottie, Too slow in GZimg compared to the SMG and no improvement in damage.
Fine, Now knowing farming Pete will be pointless, I tried the old safety zone jumping up to the pillars. After 5 failed attempts and getting really pi$$ed now, I finally got up there.
I wanted to see which of my shock weaps would do anything. Eventually Pete jumped up and got stuck but while I was doing some damage I didn’t quite get far enough behind post and got corroded. Ran down to rinse of and take care of the spiders. Doing some damage again to Pete but got too close AGAIN and had to rinse. As I took out the last spider
PETE JUMPS BACK DOWN!!..
I had him down to 60% health at the time and it just turned into previous rounds. Couldn’t get his health down much at all and died.
I tried 1 more time, Got up there 1st try, stayed behind post when he released anything. Used the DPUH/Grog/BEE and eventually beat him. Yay, My first Seraph crystals and a drop…
It was a Homing O-Negative grenade. 315927 x 7 Expl. (With highlighted text Steal’s Health so it’s a transfusion)
Numbers’s wise not even close to some of my others but tested it a bit and hey It’s my first Seraph drop so I’ll keep it for now.
Obviously my sclhock weapons aren’t doing it with Pete, So I guess he goes ‘On Hold’ until I can improve them if possible. I still can’t believe the Topneaa didn’t do anything to him.
Time to cont on the Cap’t Scarlett DLC. I’m around the 2 easy pieces part but that shows Lvl 67, I hope anything after that that is opened is level 72 or I’m screwed.
