think there IS an Australian cluster. I’ll bring that up tomorrow and see if it’s running. If it’s there, and you’re having bad ping when you connect to it, that would be great to know now!

I think that confirms that they are looking into it.

Ok now that I know how to check the connection in the scoreboard…I’m getting 3 green bars. However, two other players were dc’d in that match so all is not rosy.

PING connection and DC’s are different issues. We’re aware of a number of disconnect issues and also working to resolve those. I’m nearly positive we’re watching those stats PER REGION, so if we note more disconnects in specific regions we can target problems there.

That you’re getting three green bars pretty much confirms my suspiscion that you’re hitting near-ish servers.

Any idea what could be causing the severe lag in splitscreen? Is it something to do with having two PSN accounts signed in on one Playstation?

I’m yet to experience a disconnect. Lag and high latency issues remain and it’s still indicating continual red bars. Running a trace on the network traffic reveals all of the connections are heading through to IPs in America mostly hosted by Akamai Technologies. Hope this info helps get to the bottom of this.

I’ve been keeping a close on the logs and are some games also peer to peer? I seem to be occasionally making direct connections to multiple IPs on multiple ISPs from all over America, Canada and even Saudi Arabia. I’m yet to see an Australian IP among the list over the past 5 games played.

Just finished a 3 hour session with my brother. All green bars every game. I am in north west country vic and my brother is in far south west nsw, so very remote compared to most. Dunno how anybody could be in worse spot, geographically. Something’s obviously still in need of ironing out somewhere.

I have also a bad connection, but not always a red or yellow bar, but it nevertheless lags. Sometimes me or others get ported and the game falters. I hope this won’t happen when I got the full game in my hands. I love this game and want to play without lags.

I’m still experiencing poor connections and connections through to IPs in the US.
