Badass Beta Feedback

That’s good to know. I just assumed it wasn’t obvious as my teammate’s always run away from my when I’m healing them

Because most players are generally self-focused and ignore sound and visual indicators sadly. It’s so obvious to me since I know that in order to perform well I need to know the game and how it works.

Just think of how many players jump into this game and even after hour of gameplay won’t check how other characters work. It’s especially apparent in all the THIS and THAT is OP threads where in most cases it shows that the players just have no idea how they got killed.

In the beta the first thing I did after playing a co-op mode game(which I consider a safe & easy testing environment- couldn’t play hardcore/advanced sadly) was check all the basic Battleborn abilities and some helixes and then I checked every new unlocked character regardless of whether I wanted to play him or not. I didn’t check them all(checked Boldur AFTER I got totally smashed by him-but before unlocking), but most.

In short: players nowadays are extremely lazy, lack any kind of patience and also believe they have to be privileged because it’s “just a game so it should be easy because games are for kids”(like a 6 year old confident he can play chess without learning any rules because he already knows how to play checkers, expecting the other person to go easy on them and explain the rules during the game ultimately letting him win).

Applies to real life as well.Times we live in.

Actually, it is REALLY difficult to know when you are being healed. It just isn’t that obvious. I ran away from Miko so many times because my health was low, I only noticed I was getting healed when I looked down and saw my health rising and was very confused until I turned around and saw this Miko desperately chasing me down trying to heal me.

well I guess that settles it XD. I know my luck is pretty bad but eh this was posed as feedback/did anyone else have this problem. Thanks for the input.

I don’t really see this problem. I mainly stay in one lane as a big, bulky character. I may not be getting as much kills as my teammates, but I sure am able to protect that lanes minions extremely well. I have not had any trouble playing Montana, barely got stuck. (Except for in a corner with two enemies in front of me. Well played.)

Look, I always play Miko myself, so I can’t really say anything about it but… My sister and friend who I played loads of Battleborn with always complained about it. They only really knew I was healing them because I decided to always say it. I have a feeling that when a lot is going on, it’s just really hard to see that green thingy. (I have seen it a few times by the way, so I know how it looks like.) Maybe it’s just not bright enough.

And I think you could not choose Advanced in public, but I completely don’t get the score system of Story. I’ll come back to that later.

Yeah, you shouldn’t care about the score but… There are a lot of people who do care about their score, and this ruines it for the team. They focus enemy players instead of minions. I’ve been with teams completely RECKING the other team, yet the other team won because they did focus on the minions. (And sometimes I’d TRY to take on a lane by myself, but let’s just say it’s really hard for Miko to secure your own minions and kills the enemy minions.)

yeah, i have no clue why they promote those two components of the score. the entire team’s score combined only goes into the low 100’s in a 500 pt game. it makes no sense. all it does it promote TDM style of play. im ok with them tracking kd, but put it somewhere near the end of the sheet after stuff like buildables, minions killed, and enemy buildables destroyed

Tracking Kill/Death ratio is okay, encouraging it is not. Not in this game. I am SP glad this game does not have ‘Team Deathmatch’ because Team Deathmatch literally is “I want the most kills, f*ck my team, killsteal FTW, I’d kill my teammates if I could” but this score system does the exact same thing.
I agree, minions and stuff should be the first thing you see and the most important thing to your score.

I love that k/d isn’t the main focus of this game.

Yes, me too. It’s one of the things I like most about this game. Makes it so worth it to be a support, too. So I can’t quite understand why the score system is the way it is. I’m hoping and I also think they are going to change it since quite some people have complained about it.

What a lovely avatar by the way. :mushroom:
