As many of you are aware, Battleborn badasses fit into two roles, stated on the website. What I plan to do in this thread is add on some other roles, using some for of analysis, and taking roles from MOBAs/FPSs that I will explain below for those who don’t understand. Unfortunately, at the time of posting, Battleborn’s official site is down, so I can’t check to make sure these roles aren’t already stated. As I think of more, I will add more. Considering I have not played all badasses, some input would be helpful.

Carry: Scales well with levels, and/or has huge power spikes in their Helix talents.
Core: Benefits greatly from either levels, gear, or both. A ‘harder’ form of carry.
Front-liner: Meant to be on the front lines. Usually has a respectable amount of HP.
Back-liner: Deals damage from afar. Usually frail.
Burst: Uses skills to deal heavy damage, but has a week basic attack.
Sustained: Deals constant damage, usually through basic attacks.
Main healer: Primary source of support
Off-healer: Secondary healer, usually supplements a main healer
Main tank: Main source of soaking damage
Off-tank: Secondary tank, usually replaces main tank, should he die, and deals more damage.
Brawler: Gets up close and personal with their enemies. Not to be mistaken for an Off-tank.
Utility: Specialized role.
Ambusher: Uses stealth to get the jump on the enemy and deal heavy damage.
