Yeah, there’s a good and bad side to that. There are experienced players that prefer to end one sided matches quickly. While there are others that like to farm kills so they purposely prolong matches. Which one do you perfer OP? Unfortunately, newcomers have it hard. either way.
I’ve been in a few matches where everyone but me was a low level. When I realized this I spent the entire match getting thralls/collecting shards/buying buildables and occasionally killing minions.
My team won because I wouldn’t let the other team push us too hard by getting thralls and super minions often.
I feel as though my teammates and the enemy team had a good long match that they both learned from.
This doesn’t happen often but I felt I did a service to the game as a whole.
Yeah I have done the same on a few ocassions. Also, If someone from the enemy’s team leaves, I stand at a high/hidden spot and watch them go at it on 4v4.
For all our different opinions in various areas, I applaud this @RayLightning I tip my hat to you
Russian? Nice. Send it to me in Russian, and I can translate.
Never mind, I see it’s been handled. Good stuff.
So, I hate that it is this way, but until/unless a LOT more players start playing Battleborn, we’re kinda stuck with it. Either the match will end quickly, or it will be a long match of getting kill-farmed. Neither is pleasant.
Keep playing, please. Keep learning. And be like @RayLightning above, understanding the troubles of being a new player and helping ease that. Please. We need more players…
I did my best
I have a fairly easy time translating Russian as it flows moderately well into English but speaking it and dealing with all the damn declension is so difficult
@tatum1982 probably had a b**** of a time deciphering my terrible attempt at the language
And if I’m the only high level on my team and there’s one high level on their team, I kinda just bully the high level, especially if he starts attacking my new guys
I like the game and I will play. But the number of players began to fall.
My opinion is that F2P in this form is very bad. I bought the game a long time ago. But I can not go to PvE with new players. They look at this cropped piece and just leave.
Yeah, steam players were rising only for 2 days. And on the weekend (the most popular time frame) the numbers were also declining.
I think this free trial will fail pretty quickly. Mostly because of 3 things:
- Restriction of characters (only 6 available is like nothing).
- High cost to unlock new characters.
- The best legendary gear is locked behind the mission content and this affects PvP more than it should (Make the core 8 missions free)
Suggestion: It would have been better to let new players get most of the content for free and let them fall in love with this game and its characters. That way, if you want to take money from them - give the players the ability to choose from hundreds of different platinum skins and taunts (and finishers, that are permanent).
Like most other “free” games do. Cosmetics will make your game much more successful than locking the best things behind a big time-investing-wall-and-paid-content. If a player will buy 5-7 skins/taunts you will already be making more profit than selling that “Full game Upgrade”. Hell, Blizzard makes about 10€ for a single Hearthstone hero skin. A SKIN!
2 games and both with a crushing score. In a week there will be 100 players again. I no longer want to play PvP
