Limited lives and no save progression for Story mode. Right when I was getting really hyped…I have responsibilities. I need save progression to start where I left off. You need offline mode. I bought the game not knowing what it was because I trust gearbox. Now I can’t say positive things about them…
I don’t want to be rude but… these gripes are all facts that can be looked up before a purchase. The problem in this case isn’t with gearbox if the consumer makes an uninformed purchase. Don’t get me wrong Gearbox can be criticised for a lot of things but they never lied about the game. There also was an open beta before launch with lots of beta footage from independend YT channels, showing exactly how the campagin missions and the PVP works.
You are free to dislike the way the campaign missions are handled
The campaign missions are built to be 5 man Raiding missions. I dont know any game that lets you save in the middle of a raid.
It’s too bad you had to take off mid mission and couldn’t finish. However even playing solo, the longest one still takes less than an hour so it’s not too much time lost. Additionally Multiplayer matches are pretty short, the longest taking up to 30 minutes.
Hopefully you’ll have the chance to play a bit more and formulate a better opinion of the game. Overall it’s a lot of fun.
@girat93 made the first good point: It was open information since before the Technical Test happenend. It was no evil plan to spoil the fun for us gamers, but a simple decision regarding general gameplay GBX made.
I´m freelancing artist with ALOT of work to do, but honestly, a story-mission on normal difficulty with 4 random other players should not take longer than 30minutes. Maybe 40min if its rough.
Yes, there are bad gamers & impolite people out there and I was afraid to run with others, but its really fun! (well, most times, there are always idiots…)
So you are supposed to take this 30minutes to complete one mission. The highscore gets saved, like in the old, very old games. You can replay tht mission to brake your score, like its common for racing games.
I´m still adjusting to BB after years of playing the Borderlands-games and I see that there are BIG differences to BB, like the progress saving in storymode. But its simpoy another type of game and I think we all have to get used to it or leave it.
I dont mind multiplayer. Im just not playing story mode ever I think.
I dont mind multiplayer. I just wont play story mode ever I guess.
