Oh and also thank you to all the responses!

Mellka really sucks, she has no shield and no life steal but yet she’s an assassin? She also barley does damage. You guys really need to balance her cause she’s an awesome character but she sucks.
She’ll probably never 1v1 head to head with anyone, but she’s great in a team! If GBX want to buff her, I won’t complain though
She’s alright, she’s considered an assassin and agile but defenders are faster than her. If she’s gonna be a team player at least make her have a shield and do more team stuff. Like add more ammo or even make her Do more splash.
I use the slow and AoE spike helix’s, the bounce back on hit claw lunge helix, and the bounce back quick melee helix. Haven’t been caught by a melee character as of yet! She’s Eldrid so a shield is not going to happen. Her damage output really just relies on using venom DoT to full advantage

Heya - @mentalmars already did an outstanding job of replying here, but I’ll fill in the gap he left…
On SPLITSCREEN -
We hear you. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback that splitscreen is a tough experience in Battleborn. As you may recall, we had the same kind of issues between Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2. Each game has it’s on requirements for what you have to show in-game. It took us two borderlands to work it out for that franchise. With Battleborn, we tried to apply the lessons learned, but still…splitscreen is exceedingly hard to get right, and to please everyone. That’s probably why Halo dropped it this round.
We will look into what we can do here. But it’s a fairly large amount of work to handle some of the issues that are brought up, and that work would be at the expense of other issues or new features.

I will try her like that then to see if it works out
I also think the key with her is comboing. Is she rated as a complex or advanced character?
I have no clue. Cause I want to use her but I guess I don’t know how. I need to watch some videos

As a fellow dog owner, let me give you a life hack: take your dog out at set times. it will get used to it. never have to take it out outside of those set times. (unless stomach problems. sigh) this way you can plan your other activities accordingly.

I know I am just one potential customer… But my wife and I are long-term borderlands fans and this fix is all we are waiting on to buy the game. The day we see it is fixed we will pick it up…(split screen that is)

Thanks for the response @Jythri I don’t find it game breaking, but it definitely is something I’d like to see improved. Essentials for me though include the free update with tier 2 and 3 skins… And I’m hoping to see a plethora of those in free and paid DLC updates. Id love to see as Monday tier 2 and 3 skins as there were guns in BL2… What’s the word?.. Bazillionder? Probably too much to hope for, but you get the idea, lots of unique skins to unlock makes things so much more fun to me.
Thanks for the tip,
though it’s mostly if I have to go to the bathroom… Stuff happens and its really annoying to be booted from my own private game for inactivity (but I totally understand this for match made games where people are waiting on you). There have been many time when I want to start a level but can’t finish it, and I’d like to save but can’t…I get that time resources for GBx hosted games have to be limited…
…But couldn’t there be an option to resume a level from a checkpoint?? @Jythri

How about fixing login issues and address the server overload problem.
Thank you for the post. I originally figured that certain issues required priority, and I didn’t know what classified necessary fixes. This helps.

I don’t often post in any forums, but I did feel the need to chime in here. I know that it will require a lot of work to fix sizing issues in co-op at this point, and this may be a minor issue for some people, but it is unfortunately not so minor for others.
I bought Battleborn based upon the enjoyable co-op experienced in the Borderlands series with my girlfriend. The primary intent was to play co-op in Battleborn - but as it stands, on a 55" LED TV, co-op is quite literally headache inducing. The eyestrain is unbearable with the small text and after a couple of rounds we both have to quit. We’ve tried moving much closer to the screen, but that presents problems of its own, and even still the text is ridiculously small. I should mention that neither of us have had this issue with a console game before, in Borderlands or otherwise; in other words, I don’t believe it to be a vision problem on our end.
While I do understand there are many other issues that need addressing, please keep in mind that some people bought this expressly for co-op. What is most frustrating of all is that we both love the game - we just can’t actually play it for any length of time without getting real world headaches. I hope you do indeed take the time to find some sort of large text alternative. Thanks for listening!

On consoles, they are looking at the issues and they are working on it. He stated that it is an “extremely expensive” to work on split screen (by expensive, he means there’s a lot of fiddly code stuff with re-positioning HUD features, etc.) It’s labor intensive, dozens and dozens of elements across three platforms. They’re working on seeing what they can fix immediately with a micro patch, and weighing the time it would take to crank out major split screen fixes against implementing ranked mode. He didn’t say that they won’t get it done, but it’s a matter of where best to allocate programming resources.

I’m with you man. I’m sticking with it, but it’s annoying enough that if another similar game had better split screen I might start playing that instead. I like GBx and I want to play BB but the experience has to improve… If someone else improves on this kind of experience I’ll want to try that out… I’d like to see them improve BB… Then I’d def stick with it. Those words are TINY though. For realz.

I just want to add my voice to the chorus re: split screen co-op. Having a big black bar that takes up ~1/4 of the screen is absurd; having a big black bar that takes up ~1/4 of the screen and no way to do anything about it is, frankly, such awful UI design I’m honestly baffled anyone at Gearbox somehow thought it was a good idea. I really don’t understand why the minimap doesn’t just work the same as it did in the Borderlands games; I never heard of anyone having any problems with the UI in those. Granted, this is my first time posting to the forums because, up to now, you folks have always knocked it out of the park, so I’ve been too busy playing the game to bother with coming here beyond the occasional Google search for how to complete a challenge or something.
I have read something about maintaining aspect ratios in online multiplayer having something to do with it, which… to be frank, this is just one more in the legion of reasons always online, or anything that looks vaguely like it in dim light, is a horrible idea. My buddy and I only play local co-op on private; we shouldn’t even need to deal with servers in the first place.
Don’t get me wrong, the game itself is fun as hell one one clears all the hurdles, but there are quite a few hurdles to clear and, near as I can tell, none of them should even be there in the first place. I expect better of Gearbox because you folks have repeatedly proven you can do better. I only hope you prove it again by listening to all the feedback you’re getting and cleaning up the local co-op experience.
…that came out sounding a lot more self-important and preachy than I meant it to. Balls.
