Look it’s just business at the end of the day. As it stands people have just had a taste of Overwatch. I totally get that there different games but comparisons are there for a reason. A free trial or free weekend would be a solid idea and increase sales that’s a fact regardless of what’s right or wrong. After doing some digging I have found that people did hear about BB a time ago but then it kind of disappeared off there radar like a fart in the wind.
All I done with this post was put it out there as an idea. At this stage I honesty think the game would pull in numbers which is a good thing right?
Overwatch beta got me really interested in Battleborn right after it ended. I couldn’t justify paying $60 (PS4) for a fraction of the game, even though that fraction was really fun. So I decided to look into Battleborn. I never played the beta and had zero interest in MOBAs before, but after watching some videos and live streams, I eventually bought it. So far, the few minutes spent with it, I am quite pleased and feel it. There is character progression and more than just two very similar and repetitive game modes. But, as is the case with me and every new game I get, I will probably find something to complain about in a few weeks.
Well so tonight i bought BB. Lets hope im not dissapointed.
Ive watched a load of youtube clips of game play. Its very MOBA - ish which kind of attracts me.
Also i feel the game needs a bit of a chance against some very tough competition so,… yea lets give it that.
This is an old thread but I’m bumping it as it is relevant.
Overwatch is having a free weekend on consoles from 9 - 12 September:
Overwatch is already a very popular game and they are doing this. Maybe Battleborn (which is less popular but IMO is a better game) should also have a free weekend (or even week) sometime to encourage new players to pick up the game?
Pointless. Battleborn had an influx of new players after the Humble Bundle offer. They played, were victory farmed by level 100 premade groups and left again. I don’t know about consoles but Battleborn on PC is more or less an afterthought in the world of gaming. There are more concurrent players in the first Borderlands than in Battleborn.
There is no use bringing in new players if the game can’t make them stay.
Whilst it’s full price on the PlayStation Store (they have discounted it significantly twice before) you can get it cheap already from Amazon and other stores.
