Battleborn Switch?

Maybe an expanded version of Battleborn Tap as a small scale game/large scale app?

Otherwise I’m not sure if the kind of games and humor GBX does is on Nintendo’s radar. Or that GBX would do so well/has the funds to port it, if the huge variance in PC performance is any indication.

Nintendo’s also not really known for PvP games that require the level of coordination that BB does. Their most popular titles for PvP (Smash and Splatoon) are both completely playable without ever speaking to your teammates, in fact Splatoon was specifically designed around that to make it more friendly to younger audiences.

My thoughts exactly! The focus of Nintendo lays on younger consumers and even if BB has an E-rating its not really for children. And as you said the need for teamwork, coordination and tactics is nothing Nintendo games stand for in general.

But who knows, maybe Nintendo tries to offer more for adults in this console generation.

Ah, I had thought Take Two changed their name and became 2K, my apologies and thank you

Well people have been saying that for years.
The Wii was actually meant for core gamers, but it became the casual motion market thing.
Nintendo has been struggling with 3rd party support ever since the N64. A quality line up on 1st and 2nd party games saved that console.
Resident Evil 4 should have been the savior for the Gamecube.

It’s good to see a lot of 3rd party support has been announced for the SWITCH. with the WiiU a lot of publishers left Nintendo because it took too much resources to make a different build of the game. SWITCH has Unreal4Tech support so things like that help. Unity is also up there so smaller companies also have a chance.

But Nintendo will be Nintendo, so they will make their Mario/Zelda/Kirby and i love them for that. It’s not that Nintendo gamers don’t want to play online. Nintendo has a kid friendly image and they need to uphold that, that’s also why they made up these crazy friendcodes to keep children save. But with recent changes it seems like the whole online environment is getting a big overhaul. But as a parent you want your kids to be save.

Splatoon is a great game. It shows a kid friendly take on the shooter genre but it has a lot of depth and adds some cool twists.

I think Battleborn could be that game that is for that younger gamer that wants to have a bit more of a “mature” game but isn’t extreme violent. Last week i did have my nephew over and he was digging Battleborn. My son also likes to watch but he’s playing Splatoon  Having a new IP on a new system it has a higher chance at succeeding early on in the life-cycle of a console generation. The competition is less high and ppl are looking for games to play on the system and are willing to try something out.

Sorry this is getting very long so i’m out

btw. i think it helps that the trailer didn’t promote the use of second screen gameplay like the WiiU. This way other publishers are not forced to do something with that second screen. I have heard that the screen is a touchscreen so Nintendo can port their WiiU games and can do their own unique thing. While the second screen did do a good job in some games even Nintendo left it out in some of thier games (Looking at you Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze)

Pretty sure they’re ditching dual screens completely since you need to dock the whole thing to get tv mode.
Rip best feature ever, it’s been a wild ride :^(

I found a bit different info:

Nintendo Switch is powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.

Eh… It doesn’t contradict with my quote. I can extend it, if it was unclear.
Nvidia has declined to give us the chip’s name or provide any specs, but many rumours point to it being either a “Tegra X2” or a very close relative.
[…]
The X2 is also known as “Parker,” and we know a few things about it. Anandtech reports that it uses a total of six ARM CPU cores: two custom Nvidia-designed “Denver” cores, and four off-the-shelf ARM Cortex A57 cores.
[…]
On the GPU side, Parker uses 256 CUDA cores based on Nvidia’s Pascal architecture. Pascal is the architecture used for Nvidia’s GeForce 1000-series cards, which we’ve generally been very impressed by. But 256 cores is significantly fewer than we’ve seen in any Pascal GPUs so far. For reference, the high-end GeForce GTX 1080 includes 2560 cores (literally 10 times as many), while the more modest GeForce GTX 1050 includes 768 cores.
the pascal family rocks. yes the cores seem a bit low. but with consoles you have a different environment as with PC gaming. so hopefully that got that streamlined well enough. Nintendo hasn’t been putting out consoles with the best specs since N64/Gamecube. Having a cartridge instead of a disc based system is like having a SSD. So i expect some speed from that. Then i wonder how much room is there for the Day-one patch  Patches these days can get pretty big and i don’t think they will have a 1TB SSD hidden in the console (screen).

There are still rumors going on that the docking station will improve performance (besides increasing the “battery” life). Still a lot to learn. Touchscreen hasn’t been confirmed, but rumors say it will have a touchscreen. Unless you guys have heard some new info ?
