I already participated in that poll vote. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention.
Soo how am i missing out on part of the game by getting boosters? Im still having to lvl my guys and play the game lol.
I just think it’s poorly thought out on BB’s side (Plat only purchases, not just boosters, I don’t mind boosters at all), yes, you can outright buy them in Overwatch, but you can also grind them by playing a ton. Everything that makes play time shorter for people is a bad idea for Battleborn. You want the players playing every second they can, so there not being a plat - credit exchange boggles my mind, honestly. Yes, whales will buy plat, but people like me will grind, grind, grind, and through us grinding, there’s more players in the game pool, making modes more populated. That’s the benefit of a grinding system.
I imagine anyone who would buy the boosters would probably be a completionist and being a completionist myself I know that most (not myself) are far more involved and interested in PvE. I don’t think boosters will take much from queue times and player retention.
I understand what you’re saying, but not everyone likes to grind for levels and gear. Some people want to jump straight into the PvP pool. Just because they’re not in it for the grind doesn’t mean they won’t play for hours on end. I know that my brother is that kind of person.
Well ambra, wft and phoebe have mutations that are rly rly powerfull and change your way to play.
I think what they are doing is reduce anything that is painfull for some ppl, wft felt underpower untill i got napalm, that thing rly changed him for me. I rly needed that lvl6 mutation to make him powerfull.
Everyone here who main phoebe know how powerfull contigency plan is, unlock this mutation can make you love her and use her more and more.
No, I agree, that’s why I said there should be a credit for plat exchange,
so people who grind can grind, people who want to skip van pay directly for
plat.
Ah, I must have misread your post. Glad we’re on the same page now.
Hey, no worries! Enjoying Chaos Rumble?
Aw, I’m upset I completely forgot about the 50% off UPR loot packs. I haven’t spent a single credit since buying this game and have nearly 150k credits. I have the season pass so Heroes I can get with keys, figured I can spend all my saved credits on loot packs. This 50% UPR loot pack was just the thing I needed as I like more UPR characters than any other faction. I was super excited to start buying them, but I kept forgetting.
Unfortunately now it’s too late, and now I’m rather bitter about it. I’m just not going to spend any credits until it goes on sale again. Specifically the UPR loot packs. I haven’t spent a single credit this long, I can wait on spending any until they put another UPR sale again.
Unfortunately, no. I’ve been out all day. Hopefully I can play tomorrow though. I am ready to try out some crazy team comps.
Hopefully they bring back the lootpacolypse and all the loot will be lower priced. So just wait till then to buy backs if you really wanted to.
Were they lower priced for the first one? I missed the first lootpacolypse.
I believe it was around 25% or so off. Maybe 50%. Not sure.
It was over 50% off, since the packs were a whoopin’ 800 Credits each (Faction Packs) while the Rare and Epics were 25% off.
I miss the Lootpocalypse…
Lootpocalypse needs to return and stay, or at least the discounted packs. Honestly Rare and Epic packs were still too expensive at their discounted prices, but change the price for Common and Uncommon packs and even raise the price for Faction packs from 950 if need be so packs are priced appropriately for their potential rewards.
There is simply way too much RNG involved in receiving gear to justify their prices. I keep about one piece, if any, in every ten or so packs I open because I either already have the pieces the packs are giving me, it is an absolutely terrible roll or there is a negative stat reduction that ruins the piece. Gearbox shot themselves in the foot with all the layers of RNG regarding gear.
I get that they were trying to give themselves a nod for their Borderlands roots, but this isn’t Borderlands, a primarily PvE based game. This is a PvP game, and people know what type gear they want and it’s incredibly frustrating that it is near impossible to get certain pieces while repeatedly getting pieces you already have.

It is, get over it. Less than four hours of story lacking any depth whatsoever with disjointed story lines, terrible AI, boss fights that have virtually no mechanics requiring zero team work or coordination, with only two cut scenes. It’s obvious where the studio is focused. Just because some people prefer the PvE doesn’t mean this isn’t a PvP game.
Halo has a campaign and a speedrunner community, and I bet any of them would tell you that Halo is a multiplayer game, despite the way they play it.
you do realize that the story has tons of replay-ability right with how many characters you can go through it with and their special dialogue. the only reason they are focused more on PVP is because the majority play it but they realize that their is a PVE side too and we are still getting the story operations.
…Has anyone actually released numbers?
I’ve personally seen at least 80 Steam users, myself included, who got this game for PvE.
(I have more than 1,000 hours in PvE now, am trying PvP but still find it very stressful.)
