Battleplan 18: 9/8/16

Hey.

Jondubois is on a little break.

So: back on topic.

Aww but it became a joke :frowning: i rly wanted to help him/her, showing how a code looks like and how many lines a game like battleborn have.

Oh dear, poor angry soul.

So, the hot fix altered Ern’s Legendary life steal. Opinions on it?

All it appears to help me with now in PVP is I get a little green, 22 or so when I die. Any thoughts on use? I’ve tried hitting the Wave with the bomb to get a boost when I get low, but I’m having wondering if the change has affected anyone’s choose to use or not to use it?

I’m posting this in this thread as “on topic” to see if there is other feedback regarding this hot fix? My opinion is: Hmm. This seems to make the legendary less than worth it now.

BB uses modified Unreal Engine 3.

Wow, you’re right. That may explain why a few GeForce owners were reporting poor performance, some newer midrange chips may be effected on both sides. Yeah, a modified previous generation engine… in a game that’s not doing so hot in the market… I can’t imagine that doing anything about that is in the best interest of the GPU manufacturers or the engine developer unless GBX still has a contract with any of them. I think Gearbox is your only hope guys.

Im a ps4 so i cant relate

long story short i know how many lines of code, or can imagine. does that really matter to me? not really. do i understand they have other / more important things to do sure i do. But as i said this glitch makes it extremely hard to play and enjoy this game and focusing on content over glitches isnt making them go away its stacking problems

long story short i play nothing but splitscreen with my sister on the console. im not sure what your experience has been but this problem has existed for many for a long time i dont see how the multiple threads here and on reddit indicate me and those people as being in a minority? but with two players on the same console gonig in and out of the command screen every mission / couple of pvp matches means this happens several times daily. explain to me why this isnt important to fix? sure they have other things to do but how do i enjoy content if i cant make it from a match to my command screen and back again. and at least on xbox you have to re log in both players serperately which can take a few minutes depending on how the servers decide to act

Poor angry soul :frowning:

I dig. That’s very frustrating.

I’m on Xbox as well. I’ll hit the center button to the dashboard, log out of my profile, which sort of force resets Battleborn, then back to the game and resign in.

It’s clunky, but at least I don’t have to turn the console completely off and on.

When you hit the centre button you can then hit the menu button, which gives you an option to effectively force-quit the game. This way, you only have to restart the game and sign back in - you can do this without also logging out of your profile. Just as annoying, but slightly faster.

In case you didn’t know, you can just back out to the title screen if you need to go into command if you are between matches/games. You only need to dashboard out if you get stuck in “loading” on the command screen.

Not sure which scenario you were referring to, so just thought I’d throw that out there in case you weren’t aware.

Frustrating regardless, but they’re working on it so c’est la vie for now.

once again issue is im playing split screen every time i have to go to the title screen i have to log in two people not just the one. and like i said two people playing doubles the chances of this glitch occuring

Why you need to get to the command menú? I play a lot of pve with my bf and brother but we Dong get to the command menú untill we are done pveing (4 runs usually)

See what you should understand is me and my split screen player have been cr 100 since about a month and a half after release. I’m working on my 13th mastery and she’s looking at her 8th. So problem is we switch characters a lot, change load outs to suit situations and new characters as well as having to check lore completions constantly to make sure their ticking down the way the should (very morphic pillars). So long story short without unfetted access to the command screen we can’t play with load outs, sell gear or check challenge statuses. Also if you play 4 sessions before looking at the command screen that’s near 2 hours between trips to that screen given full 30 minute pvp times and usual 30 minutes average mission times. We go on about once every two plays but since that’s one of us every two plays or every hour, that means at least one of us is always checking something in the command screen. Customisation through this screen is half the variety of this game. So can you see how not being able to access what is basically my inventory is making this game hard to play especially when the only this left for me to do is master more characters and grind loots

I still dont get it… I(we) have the max loadout, so you get in and plan the loadout of who you are going to master then read the lore challenges.

You can glitch the voids edge to get infinit swarmer spawn. This way you can finish all the kills needed and many of the challenges can be done just playing.

There are ways to walk around a bug, this is not the first game i have played with bugs, but your options are: find a solution or get angry. I think both of you already submited a ticket and i hope gbx will compensate you with legendary lootpack (jelous about that).

And true after 2 hrs we get in the cmand menú, sell all the junk, buy some packs(or not because event) change a loadout, check some lore challenges. This way you dont get the infinit loading time and if you do is not so stressfull, maybe thats why i only got that bug only once. Probably you two get in the command menú 10 times more than 3 of us together.

Like as not and to be clear I’ve gone nearly two months with this glitch still plugging along like always. I can get over / around glitches I’ve been around since patches didn’t exist and dlc was a fantasy, so it’s not like I’m expecting miracles in a matter of minutes. It seems to me more a symptom and as a person who owns TPS, I’ve seen gear box shambling down this road before. So to be clear it’s not like I’ve uninstalled my digital copy or have randys face on a dart board. I’m just disappointed I think we all expected more this shortly after release. (dlc characters aside) I don’t want this to become a theme with gearbox. I’m not quitting it’s just hard to be gung ho about it atm

I know persistent glitches can become extremely annoying so I am sympathetic when people get irritated, but Borderlands 2 (for example) is way, WAY glitchier than Battleborn. It’s one of those things that’s not really worth too much frustration, especially if the developers know about the problem and are working to resolve it.

2k Australia made The Pre-Sequel, unless you’re talking about the Claptrap DLC (neither of which were particularly beset by glitches in my experience, apart from those cool glitch guns…)

2k Australia and gearbox…

and i mean more that they shut down one of the developers and crapped out the dlc when the game did worse than expected
