I dont really use him but I see from my friends experience but I will let them know to put in a support ticket.
Thanks for the update, and all the feedback this week despite all the PAX action. It’s been an exciting week to be a player with hearing about all the things you guys are mulling over.
Something just take time, software is far from perfect. I know it sucks and none of us like to wait but we do. You now have a time frame at least.
That would be great. Thanks!
Can’t wait to go home to see if there are any new skins for my favorite character.
Nothing last week and no double xp or reduction in loot box prices for this week. This trend is not going to encourage more people to play.
Just out of curiosity, do the “Dev’s” play both PVP and PVE?
is that supposed to console us? like really, for the love of god i love this game ive given it my time my energy and my heart but week after week of wait its coming for fixes, dlc, really anything but new skins and tuants. we deserve more, i expected more and gearbox have done what i should have known theyd do. little to nothing
Still nothing on split screen issues? Was it mentioned at Pax will there ever be a fix… find out next time on … Crummy Battleplan 19
How much do you actually understand about the patching process? There is no magical switch the developers can flip to fix things. Code must be examined, written/rewritten and then tested. And if it fails testing then it must be re-examined, rewritten and retested. This process repeats as many times as needed until it passes testing/certification. Even then some things may slip through testing/certification and may not work as intended or may even break something in game that wasn’t broken before or may break a previous fix.
What I’m trying to get at here though is that all of this takes time. And if something doesn’t make it past testing that means it takes even more time. And the larger a patch is, the more that it fixes, the more complex the fixes then there are more things that can go wrong. So larger and more complex patches tend to take longer. From what I’ve heard about upcoming patch it’s got quite a few fixes in it, and that’s just the stuff I know about. There’s going to be fixes in the next patch for things I haven’t even heard about.
Someone at Gearbox probably knows about this problem already. That doesn’t mean that Joe knows about it already or that he knows that someone else at Gearbox knows already. So while Joe might not be aware he can direct you to the best people to inform or the best way to inform those people about various issues with the game while he checks with others to see if they are already aware of the issue.
3 weeks in a row of pure, unadulterated, disappointment. It’s getting really damn old.
I would be willing to forgive the lack of fixes and ■■■■ if only I could at least get a solid DATE OF WHEN THE NEXT DAMN PATCH WILL BE RELEASED.
Vagueness just makes me unnecessarily angry. If there isn’t a date, or if the date is far (yet known), let the playerbase know so they can be aware that that’s the case.
Knowing the update is coming (eventually) is not reassuring especially considering the amount of things wrong with the game at the moment.
Just had to vent. Been asking non-stop for over a month for an ETA on the patch and haven’t gotten any solid answer.
I’m glad there’s stuff coming in October, particularly the first DLC story mission! However, with the mention of the next big patch…[quote=“JoeKGBX, post:1, topic:1546057”]
which will arrive in the coming weeks,

…I wonder if there’s going to be much going on for Battleborn in September. I hope there are some surprises, but it seems that the first September thing we’ll be seeing is…
…which is already over halfway through the month. And, that’s an event for PvP players, so it doesn’t look like PvE’ers have anything to look forward to this month.
Hopefully there are some surprises in store, but it seems like a sad month for ole BB.
Digging the cosplay.
Definitely gonna be perched on Twitter for that code! And I’m really looking forward to the next update. Command bug has been the only thing really irking me these past few weeks.
No its just the reality of software development. Things take time to find the error, make a fix, test the fix, certify the fix, release the fix.
Gearbox has not done little to nothing for this game, the amount of patches and fixes for this game in the short time it has been out is way better than almost any game I have ever seen.
They are far from done supporting it, they continue to do so.
I get you are frustrated that there is no fix yet, but you have a time frame. If you have to stop playing until then, I’m sorry that sucks. But it is coming.
If a game is making you this angry maybe its good to take a break and play other games or do other hobbies for a bit. Games should be fun, they are not work or worth getting stressed over.
once again beforeyou complain that i dont know the patching process realize its been 6 weeks with this glitch. that means during the august patch (oh where did that go now?) that didnt happen we might have seen a real fix. so what im supposed to wait 2 months in the first 6 months this game has been released to have a critical glitch fixed? you explain that to me. seems to me they need to spend less time at pax more time giving us the fixes they promised. i loved them to, but their honestly not giving us real answers or real fixes and isnt 6 weeks long enough? ill believe its going to get fixed when it has been they have lost my trust
Would you rather @JoeKGBX not mention it at all? It might not be a simple fix and they’re probably working really hard on stopping it from happening altogether.
Since this patch has taken such a long time I am going to assume that something didn’t pass certification and so it has had to have a few adjustments made to it and submitted for certification once again. The developers cannot predict if and when a new update is going to pass certification, especially when additional time has been added before its release due to delays in certification due to one or several parts of the code failing to pass and having to be re-examined, rewritten and retested. They may have to do this several times and so there may be a longer and longer delay. If they pin a date down and then it doesn’t pass certification and gets delayed then the amount of people getting upset compared to the amount we have now is going to be a lot worse.
When this happen you lose faith in the developer. This has happened at its entirely their fault. I will be playing other games but I wont be returning even for the dlc. Ive bought the game, two season passes and innumerable skins and taunts to support the developers and this is what we get for our trust.
Are the two giveaway skins for next week two of the skins the PAX attendees got? I hope so.
Also, looking forward to more mega SHiFT codes, but was hoping for a promo this weekend. Loot pack discounts or something.
id rather my august patch than a ■■■■ pax panel
They never promised monthly patches, I think once it was said that was a goal but again things don’t always go that easy.
They people working on these fixes were not at PAX gearbox has many more people working for it than the people that were at PAX. The whole company didn’t shut down for PAX. They just send representatives.
