I’m taking it as one less reason to anywhere near the crazy old b------d. Melee mains aren’t going to like this at all.
Range fighters will be only marginally affected, such as, if you don’t know by now to stay out of taser range this slight change won’t matter.

Honestly the taser was fine when his health was low and he could only really use it as a last resort if somebody got too close to him. Now with his health where it is, he can chase people down with it which doesn’t seem to be the original design at all.

and for the Montana dash it’s not the damage it’s the stun that hits when you aren’t even in his line of sight just above a platform he hits with his dash.

Im sure montana cant deal 1700 dmg lvl 3 with his dash. Stun is not a big problem like get 1hit koed
That’s only with the Lumberjack Blast helix at level 2. The shockwave’s hitbox is really weird, meaning you can stun people through walls.

This is a terrible “nerf”, and something that you have done a lot, nerf one aspect of a character and buff another to compensate. That’s not a nerf, it’s a cop-out, Kleese will be no weaker than before, he may even be stronger with a longer leash! The damage on that thing should be reduced, or his health reverted back to what it was, this minor change does nothing.

Kleese tethering from miles away was never the problem, the range it was capable of after locking on was the issue (and the damage of course).
Now you’ve buffed the most broken element of the attack, I certainly hope Kleese is getting gutted in the actual balance changes but this doesn’t fill me with optimism.
I’ve been killed by Kleese’s shock tether when he was standing near the collector on Outback and I was jumping off the far side cliff… that was too short?

That Kleese buff… Have they completely forgotten about the helix that makes taser arc to a second target and effectively doubles the sustained range anyway? Reducing the initial range doesn’t matter when he doesn’t have to tase you - he can zap a minion instead and watch it arc to you.
And with his huge shields and health, he can just bear down on any BB, lock taser, then retreat to rift network with his new enhanced taser sustain range…
And why does everyone get this" give a little, take a little" treatment except Mellka, who was just hotfixed down hard and then left for months to deal with it? Screw Kleese. He doesn’t need softly-softly balance treatment. If you guys can just rip into Mell’s health and accuracy and she’s still okay-ish, then you have all the leeway in the world to nerf Kleese without buffing him somewhere else.
