Best Player for Survival?

Just parroting Axton or Maya for general survival.

Sal if you have the right equipment, but Axton is probably the easiest of the six to get the hang of since he’s the ā€œgeneric fighterā€ of the group.

Nah, I checked… Krieg is now the official answer to that too!

Acton or Maya.

Probably Maya with all her great skills and even better now with Cloud Kill.

But if you are smart and tactical with your turrets…Axton is just damn hard to kill.

Course I wade in like a banshee a lot and ignore the above fact…much to my chagrin.

Ehh who plays smart its borderlands.

John, you know Acton is that brother we never talk about. :dukefp:

Among her other…attributes. :dukeego:

Pretty much, though Grit doesn’t seem to like me very much. Still, he’s very flexible and use just about anything.

If I got offended over things like that I could never leave my house.

I hate to actually take this conversation somewhere serious, but I had real trouble with a Mania Krieg against things like BA Constructors and other generally large targets. Any tactics available? :stuck_out_tongue:

MEAT.

Easy peasy.

On a serious note, Krieg does require some tactics: when I start rampaging, I try to kill the weakest enemy near me so I can throw my axes at stronger ones. For example, in Pete’s bar, I’ll go after rats so I can chuck axes at the UBA Enforcers. Plus you need to know when to retreat so you can rampage again after it’s over and what’ll get you the quickest SW kill. But it’s still mainly a matter of killing anything that moves. :dukecigar:

I think we’ve derailed Supes’ thread enough, so ask in the Krieg section. Short answer would be to use any good corrosive weapon and chuck axes at it during rampages after you kill something if you’re using Buzz Ax Bombardier and Fuel the Blood. Otherwise just start chucking at its eye.

Can’t upload images from my I’ll upload a bro fist tomorrow.

Also sorry for the derailment op

In my humble opinion Maya is overall the best when it comes to survival without considering the vast array of equipment in Borderlands 2. With the right equipment any character can become quite tanky but Maya has access–skill wise–to absurd healing, crowd control, shield tanking, and damage. She has no real glaring weaknesses in her skill trees and while his Action Skill does not affect certain enemies it is generally not an issue unless you are aiming exclusively for raid bosses.

Axton is a runner up but unlike Maya she requires more thought and unlike Maya her Action Skill can be cut off prematurely if the enemy attacks the turret but as @johnrr6 pointed out if you express caution he is a right pain in the ass to kill.

Krieg is fairly tanky and like Maya he can do really well without gear but unlike Maya there is quite a bit of risk involved, especially if you go Mania, in playing him. His Hellborn tree is robust but is quite gear dependent.

Salvador is the most gear dependent character in the game, especially in UVHM. He does not reach demigod status until you use certain equipment (read: Grog Nozzle) to get the most out of being able to use two weapons at once. He also has the worst skill tree in the form of Brawn and while Brawn can be used in UVHM it requires a lot of skill to use. There are a handful of Salvador players that do not use Moxxi weapons for general UVHM gaming but they are both skilled and patient enough to pull it off.

Gaige can take a beating too with the skills at her disposal but she does not have the same amount of defensive skills as Axton or Maya, though she has quite a few ways of keeping her happy butt above ground.

I think your Freudian slip is showing there, Troubled. :dukecheese:

There’s still a lot of risk with Hellborn because it doesn’t gain its full power unless you’re on fire, which is generally not a good thing to be…

I dont use Grog or Rubi on Sal, 99% of the time is Pimpernel/RL… If it works wth not!
Maya is Bee Hawking (again if it works) or Twisted Pimp builds or Rough Rider/Sham-Fleet, Tubbies die quickly that way, plus its fun blowing them up

Yeah i think I’ll try Maya first, not to disrespect the other helpful advice given though, and then I’ll try Sal
Thanks everyone, it might be a while but I’ll let you all know how it goes
