Rakk Commander was being used for both the +1 charge and because it boosts Eager to Impress. This was back when Head Count wasn’t working

oh yeah I remember something that Fl4k might be the only one to use this way: “repeat firing” Flakker with leave no trace set up , this was still working in former mayhem, not sure if that works in m10 now, anyway that weapon felt particularly satisfying.
Worst class mod is friend bot, can you imagine this thing did not work properly until last patch? A class mod being bugged for an entire year is definitely the worst one, not to mention it is only because the community bothered with filing tickets and video evidence that they finally corrected it. And to add insult to injury , the 20% is additive so not even useful when fixed.
Worst anoint is speed when attack command super pointless.
the friend bot is the only class mod that gives points to barbaric yawp, so it’s definitely not bad

We have had these discussions on the forums before. I think BY is awesome. With +5 to BY, you get a massive boost to your pet passives, in addition to the other skills it boosts (I am unclear on all the pet-related skills it actually boosts, but theoretically it should boost a bunch of bonuses). 6% health and 60% elemental damage with the Scorcher, 30% movement speed and crit with the Gunslinger, and 30% damage and 60% gun damage with the GHS.
So yes, IMO Barbaric Yawp is an awesome skill. You just are required to invest a lot of Master tree points to get down that far, and most builds don’t do that. In addition, to get the bonuses I listed above, you have to use a Friend-Bot, and that COM kind of sucks IMO.

With some pets (mainly Scorcher and kind of Horned Skag) it’s really good, but for the rest it’s just kind of a nice thing to have, nothing groundbreaking.

I ll dig up the Fl4k com mule, I am pretty sure I have a +5 barbaric yawp somewhere in the gazillion of items stored up.
I tried friend bot with full master tree once but I dunno that did not feel that good, but that could be the pet IA sometimes it’s hard to get a good rhythm.

Oh I definitely agree with you, which is what I was perhaps ineloquently trying to say above. I think BY is a really awesome skill - it just is not really worth min-maxing around because you (1) have to invest a lot of points in the Master tree to get 10/5 in BY and (2) have to use the Friend-Bot, which is not a good COM at all in comparison to the Bounty Hunter, Cosmic Stalker, or Red Fang - or even a purple Thrillbot or Overdrive (another purple COM that I think is very underrated for Rakk builds).
