I won’t mind if it’s challenging to hit all the targets per day/week as long as it’s not all or nothing. If I can unlock some rewards for hitting most of the targets I’ll be cool with that - having something to strive for is good for longevity.

I feel you on the limited gaming time though.

My question is, how might this DLC my gameplay if I don’t buy it?
Still not thrilled about extra DLC5 skill annointments dropping nor pop up dialog in Sanctuary every time.

Also, concerned about another level cap increase.

Thought you guys might like this as many respect Chadly as a YouTuber who shares his honest thoughts.

He’s actually more positive than I expected.

There’s a patch coming alongside the DLC content.

While I definitely understand waiting and seeing about how much it fixes, you’re being a bit unfair equating DLC content with game fixes. The fixes have always been delivered in patches to the base game.

Raids were always tied to DLCs, the only exception being Vermi/Terra, and those were mostly reskins/bigger Varkid & Thresher. They only started putting more effort into it with Scarlet’s Pirate Booty

They did say that the carrds don’t expire and that there will be daily challenges (an weekly) so I think you can rest easy.

We do some daily challenges, we upgrade our cards. A few days later we do some more daily challenges and continue where we left off.

I could ve wrong of course, but from what they said in the stream I think that’s how it’s gonna play out.

Ita also worth mentioning that Chadly isn’t partnered with Borderlands as the “Strem/Dev Team” are. At least as far as I know he isn’t.

Yeah, but these “paywalls” were the huge campaing DLC’s with a lot of new content and stuff to do, these campaings had a new weapon rarity, Seraph, that only dropped on the raid bosses (and you got the currency if not lucky), new pearlecents, and the normal content a campaing expansion gives, new enemies, maps, quests, loot, etc, so it wasn’t a “paywall” per see, because the overall package was 100% worth it.

This raid boss, that yeah, was shown in the game trailers, is being put behind content that’s not worth it to a lot of people, it’s like he’s there just for the sake of being there, why didin’t they put him in one of the campaing DLC them, like Hammerlock one for example, he would totally fit in there.

I just rewatched the show, and they said “it’s what they’ve (the players) requested” so the reason we’re seeing the raid boss now may be that they waited untill the demand for a traditional (since the takedowns are raid bosses, just not traditional) raid boss was high enough to release it as new content, thus selling the second season pass and bringing players in the game once again.

That may, or may have not have been their thought process, I dunno.

Exactly. If it was in a free update that comes with the DLC that would be good. I mean, it’s literally a base game area and it’s not even that we want it free, we paid for the base game, what the raid boss should have been included in. It doesnt help that this is a DLC branded as a ‘cut content’ DLC.

True, but those were more complete DLCs with missions, storylines, etc. The level of offerings between Bl2 and Bl3 has dropped off considerably for me.

I disagree, I’m not being unfair. I’m still dealing with bugs and performance issues I have reported on over a year ago. And when they do release a patch, it more often introduces as many bugs and it fixes (if it actually addresses anything).

So no, I’m not being unfair in asking for some actual effort from GB in fixing the game before trying to shove another money-grab down our throats.

Asking for more fixes isn’t unfair. Asking where they are when it’s known there’s a patch dropping alongside DLC6 is. Your framing of it is that DLC6 means there’s no accompanying patch; no accompanying fixes. You’re stating it as either content or fixes, instead of the reality that is both.

Does it suck there are still bugs outstanding? Definitely. But that’s not the same thing.

^This right here…

I’ve also noticed that a lot of times when DLC drops, it reverts to a state before recent patches. Guessing they’re not adding the patches into the version they’re working on as they go.

That’s pretty much where I’m at too. I mentioned in another thread that the ratio of “value/money” seems to get lower with each DLC (for my tastes). I don’t want to judge prematurely but just from the content descriptions Gearbox have released DLC6 seems like it will have the least meat in terms of replayable content. Maybe I’ll have to change that stance once it’s released and we can see the full picture.

Where are the fixes for splitscreen issues since launch? Where are the fixes for the splitscreen issues since they added vertical? I’m not complaining about new issues that haven’t been present for months on end here.

Maybe if GB would tell us their plans and layout a roadmap for fixes, I’d be less frustrated with their current level of support. But instead they only talk about new content as if that’s the answer to a broken game. And when they do “fix” something, they end up breaking something else. Their track record is crap.

Not knowing what’s coming and being frustrated is more than fair. I don’t want to argue with that. I just wanted to point out it’s not either content or fixes. We just need more fixes, is all.

That’s completely fair. Concerning the issues I’m faced with, it feels like it’s one or the other. But you are absolutely right, it’s not just one or the other. I would not expect a full patch that is just bug fixes, where’s the fun in that?

TESTIFY !!! Honestly that has been GBX since the release of this mess. Those of us that have been on here awhile now have been asking, short of begging, for proper fixes to the game and instead we get, “Yeah we’re aware of it and looking into it…OH HEY LOOK SHINY OBJECT SHINY OBJECT!!!”

Your comment regarding a roadmap I covered in another thread I was part of regarding Season 2 or Cyberpunk. One company hides it head in the sand and the other one at least puts forth effort to fix their mess. .

As I said before its not a hate for GBX but just utter disappointment in the direction they have gone and the deafness they have regarding their game and fixing it. Also as for the “patch” we’ll be getting next month, yeah I guess we can reserve judgement until it releases but going by GBX track record not going to get my hopes up in the least.

Amen! I’ve been playing Destiny 2 lately, which is far from perfect. I hate how my weapons lose all their ammo when I swap them out, a problem from D1. But you know what? I’ve had zero hard crashes (console), I think 1 game crash (had to restart game) and a couple of glitches (not getting credit for a public event, getting booted from the Watchtower back to space, rubberbanding). But nothing compared to BL3 in terms of stability issues.

But the thing is, I WANT to be able to play and enjoy BL3 for hours without crashing. I love the franchise and want to love this game.
