rip lyuda im guessing
but would be nice if alchemist assault rifle got a buff i had a lot of fun with this gun used it for a long time .But sadly it gets outclassed hard in mayhem 3tvhm by other guns in terms of damage effect.
It dotn help how fast the alchemist assault rifle eats your shield and health its fine for normal and but its a death wish in tvhm mayhem 3.

alchemist… did you try a transformer shield with it? It’s dealing shock dmg after all.

No i didnt may have to play around with it some more i d have to find a nother alchemist assault rifle first tho lol
.Kind of not been playing for a wile right now waiting for bloodly harvest not really a lot to do till thin.I was happy with my gun set up but i think i may have to get back in befor the event i think the lyuda will be getting nerfed soon … so may have to find aback up sniper before thin.

I am really curious about the patch because I have been saying for a couple weeks that Amara was obviously the favorite vault hunter and that Gearbox wants her to be THE vaulthunter for BL3. I didn’t even realize the balance man himself played her pretty much exclusively.

I am still willing to bet that my Elemental Amara will continue to be OP and the other classes will be “balanced”.

I still love how they say they will fix the Moze grenade “Glitch”, yet the skills show it is working as intended, plus there were builds showing focusing on this exact “glitch” on the boards before the game was even released.

Damn, have the courtesy to simply say “We screwed up and made her nades to powerful”. I would respect that a lto more than “It is a glitch and wasn’t intended, even though the skills all say it is working as intended.”

Has there been any talk about them adding a real raidboss yet and not a timed event one like the mal event.
Kind of sucks we dont have a perma one yet.

The game literally released a month ago, relax. Itll probably be coming with the dlcs

Ya but hell even bl2 had 2 raidboss before the first dlcs .The fact that we didnt have one is really odd.
Terramorphous the Invincibl and Vermivorous the Invincible where both there from the start.

I mean id rather not have terra honestly, that thing represented so many bad things in the previous game. The entire game turned into breaking it as much as possible to farm the raidboss alone. BL3 seems so much healthier to me. Also IIRC bl1 and tps also didnt have any raids on release.

i never played bl1 because of the fact how playstation whent with u cant play the older gen games on the next system. but this generally covers bl1 with raid bosses and why they didnt. wiki info

Originally, Borderlands 1 lacked anything which could be considered a true raid boss. All bosses, even optional encounters, were designed such that single players could defeat them. The first raid boss to appear in the Borderlands series was added by a DLC, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx . The optional mission You. Will. Die. tasked players with defeating the appropriately named Crawmerax the Invincible. Though not specifically designed to be unkillable by a single player, Crawmerax’s high difficulty coupled with hard-to-hit vulnerable spots, particularly the one located on its back, made him effectively off-limits to most solo players.

bl2 was where real ture raid bosses started
On its release, Borderlands 2 was advertised specifically as having a specially designed raid boss meant to be fought by four level 50 characters. The boss, Terramorphous the Invincible, was inspired by Crawmerax and meant to be more difficult than him. Much of the design of Terramorphous references Crawmerax, including the arena used for the fight as well as the mission name: You. Will. Die. (Seriously.). Entering Terramorphous Peak, where Terramorphous is fought, requires a payment of eight Eridium.

A second, somewhat hidden raid boss was also included. Vermivorous the Invincible is the most advanced metamorphosis that a varkid can reach. Though it can theoretically be encountered at any level and with any number of players on True or Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (it cannot spawn on Normal Mode), the chance of a varkid progressing through the necessary metamorphoses is highest with four level 80 characters. Vermivorous also has health far in excess of Terramorphous, estimated at around 200% of Terramorphous’s healt

I love to see something get added that cant be cheesed down in 2 sec’s

Overall most of what they mentioned is great and much appreciated, although I don’t really see how the Hellwalker is too strong. In fact there are far superior shotguns for mobbing and bossing alike. The Lyuda is too much DPS and destroys bosses, even trivializes them, but I think that there should be good solutions for that: Reduce the fire rate by 25-30%. Overall that would make it a good gun, but lower it’s DPS by a bit.

Iron Bear and the pets being worked on isn’t news but it’s good to hear about it.

And buffing a majority of the legendaries is definitely a good plan. I don’t give a ■■■■ about my gear staying the same and if dozens of buffs and some nerfs drive me towards trying more different items. Just try to not be too harsh on the nerfs.

O and Gearbox, please just cut that “wasn’t intended” speech. Just say something didn’t perform as expected or something that doesn’t let the people at Gearbox look like incompetent fools. Choice of words matter, especially if you want to get a massage across. For example the statement regarding the recent Bloodletter nerf suggested the complete opposite of what the nerf was supposed to result in (gameplay-wise). You worded that really poorly. Just be clear about it or give examples (for example what you meant with “natural means” in the terms of healing with the Bloodletter, just state “converted health regen”). Making everything seem like an “unintended” mistake leads to people assuming things like a lack of playtesting or just incompetence. And as it is, unfortunately the truth doesn’t matter if enough people believe in assumptions, so just not let them come up.

Yeaah Vermi was a nice addition. Was expecting to have some rare encounter in this game as well. Though behind that was the most disgusting legendary so idk how great that was…

Action skills/pets where there are barely if at all gears to buff the damage!

How did no one at GB noticed. It’s like the 3rd in the series.

In my opinion, the easiest fix is to have “weapon slot “ gears that buff them. The o my downside is you now left with 3 weapons to switch, which I don’t think is end of the world.

Better will dedicated slots for Iron bear , drones etc & have special class gears for them.

E.g a mini gun that has xxx damage , fire rate

I still say the game was never beta tested.

Games these days are usually a little rushed. Can’t change how the market works right now.
They had a deadline, probably wanted to implement alot of things and didn’t have the time to check everything. It’s a rather complex machinery this whole videogame industry. Especially those AAA titles are bound to alot of interests that have nothing to do with the quality of the released game. And as long as this practice is profitable we will probably continue seeing games being rushed, deadlines being forced upon actual game developers and designers. I guess that’s one of the reasons everyone’s preaching “don’t preorder”.

Don’t want to tell you to not be angry or disappointed or whatever. But directing all of that towards the people who work hard patching/fixing and so on… dunno if that’s the right adress.

Pretty sure there are alot of people in game development, who wish they had more time to polish the game before release. It’s not up to them sadly.

While I agree with your post and can understand the deadline and not being able to implement or even test everything, they should at least let people know what they’re still working on, etc.

Instead of just releasing it like it’s finished, throw in a disclaimer listing the things that will be addressed at a later date. Most people don’t mind playing a beta if they know they’re playing a beta. And make no mistake, with the poor optimization, crashes, etc, it’s very much still a beta.

To the previous point, one of the things it seems they rushed to finish was the story. Aside from the raw stupidity of the “streamer culture” (even in parody), the story itself between the antagonists seems to dwindle in interest as it progresses. One could literally disable the sound and subtitles mid-way through and not miss anything, as far as the main story goes.

And while Ava is a pretty convincing argument against having children, Tyreen truly is the God-Queen, at least of annoying and petulant character design.

Having one boss drop virtually everything you could ever want for every build on every character isn’t healthy.

One boss dropping most things isn’t ideal, but only because there needs to be multiple farmable bosses with varied loot tables. Ideally, the loot tables would be dispersed among various bosses with fast travel stations at or near each of them. But since they heavy-handed the drop rates, people are stuck farming a single boss offline.

Except they have been so keen on nerfing Fl4k and Moze while turning a blind eye to all the overpowered ■■■■ she is capable of. Not saying they should nerf her, just pointing out the inherent double standards.

Gearbox doesn’t have a clue what’s going on their game. I’m sorry fl4k was the most popular so his builds got exposed. Gearbox is literally basing their nerfs on popular youtubers and streamers videos. Blame them for that. Amara espcaped because the majority of people didn’t care to play her at first. @darreltan2004

Agreed actually. But even worse than nerfing, is how GB hasn’t playtested their nerfs at all - meaning almost every nerf/buff actually hasn’t achieved their intended effect,

  • Nerfed GiTM because Fl4k was killing bosses too fast. He still kills bosses super fast and with no difficulty - but now is absolutely terrible at mobbing
  • Nerfed MoD - its still broken with the SF and Hex grenades. Just now using splash on guns to regenerate their mag is not tenable (which was probably the intended mechanism of the skill).
  • Nerfed LnT: Became absolutely useless. Even after they buffed it back, its still mediocre, because they didn’t give Fl4k a reload speed buff to compensate. Hence, affects his mobbing alot.
  • Buffed Glamour - now it actually impedes your gameplay instead of doing nothing
  • Buffed Barbaric Yawp… which does nothing for the pets
  • Rakks deal a guaranteed dot … okay, I’m sure they actually needed a 2-3x damage buff. And the dot does nothing because shields and armor still massively resist the Rakk
  • Buffed Zane’s Clone and Drone… but didn’t address the real reason why people think he is underpowered - which is is lack of DPS.

Each nerf has been so heavy handed and done without any proper testing. Like half these things didn’t even require testing - just common sense - to see they would not achieve their intended effect.
