This feels like an unfortunate mistake, especially since they were trying to improve the drop rates with the hotfix. They actually did for the Mayhem 4+ exclusive dedicated drops. Let’s hope that they’re able to correct this tomorrow.
I generally wholeheartedly agree with u… But alot of the mayhem ideas came from old reddit suggestions that are like… From the end of bl2’s lifetime.
Mayhem looks like my kid’s roblox games.
Maybe theres a temporal distortion worthy of a 3 part stat trek episode going on.
So… I’m only 2 minutes into that youtube vid and I’ve already seen 10 dedicated drops.
To clarify, it appears that his Takedown exclusive pool may be bugged, not his Dedicated loot pool specifically. Although I did hear ShadowEvil yesterday on the Bordercast say that he got a Redistributor over the weekend. Could just be that the increase has only caused the M4 exclusives to be more prevalent and they are pushing the Takedown exclusives out. This will happen with a crowded loot pool.
Yeaaah uhm… Sometimes i wonder if ur an employee debunking us and saying its all good games fine. Just do another 100 rounds to some ppl on here.

I’m just clarifying that Wotan is dropping his dedicated loot, and dropping a lot of it from what I’ve seen. The hyperbole is real on these threads (I’m guilty of it also) and everyone is mistaking what is going on.
I’m certainly not saying that there isn’t a problem. Wotan’s Takedown exclusive loot pool definitely appears to be bugged.
I just feel that making the clarification will help with trying to get GBX to see where the problem is and hopefully fix it for us.

Yea, this weekend I ran takedown about 20 times and saw alot of the dedicated coms and other guns like juju, but I never saw any kybs, redistributors, tigs etc

At least they are keeping the new anoints now, so we’ll be able to farm the Takedown loot with those anoints once they fix this.

Yea, are the versions of the kybs/redist that have been dropping lately (pre hotfix) even scaled to m10?
Just curious if I should wait to farm them until they release the scaling patch

As far as I’ve heard, it’s only the loot from shooting the legs that isn’t scaling to mayhem level since they are coded as chests. Just don’t shoot the legs and everything should be scaled correctly … keyword “should.”

Its just the whole cov randomness… They need cov shotguns and sniper rifles smgs etc. Hows moze supposed to get 4 for matched set.
Ive actually farmed for a.month now… Never seen a better pewpew. I dont like limited timed guns either.
Im so attached to it… Like ive even done an ase. Tour just to kill everything i can with it.

I don’t really think of it as a “Victory” to me that implies we are fighting a hostile force and the dev’s certainly aren’t that imo. Rather they have listened and acted on feedback from the community as a whole, made a change because it was possible and informed the community.
I’m relieved they are showing such support given some of the comments posted on here that had to be dealt with by the moderators. Sure there are long term issues but I would bet some of them are very difficult to fix and we know how easily stuff breaks.
Hopefully we are in for more uplifting news through the BL Show and this weeks hotfix notes.

Well, we have to be cautious here and have to distinguish the loot pools. For Wotan, those are the loot pools at work:
- World drop pool (obvious, every not enemy-locked legendary in the base game)
- Mayhem 4 loot pool (Weapons that can only drop on Mayhem 4 and higher)
- Takedown exclusive loot pool (this is the bugged one, as weapons like the Kyb’s Worth or the Tigg’s Boom, which can only drop from Wotan alone)
To be more precise regarding the Takedown specific loot pool: There should be 2 different loot pools* now, the Shield pool, which is what the Valkyries drop now and the weapon pool, which is what Wotan is supposed to drop, but unfortunately doesn’t. Or theoretically there could be 3, but the original takedown specific loot pool Wotan had is now either gone or has been modified to not include shields and - assumption - in this modification process someone made a mistake and assumedly removed the whole pool (or deactivated it) instead of just removing the shields. Which might be why we don’t get any of the takedown specific weapons anymore.
*Not quite right either as every enemy has its own pool, but Gearbox used to copy-paste pools where it was appropriate. Basic enemy number 1 doesn’t need to have a different loot pool than basic enemy number 10 for example. They just use the exact same pool each, the world drop loot pool (or a variation of that for the DLC’s).

Looks like today’s hotfix maybe trying again to fix it.
Addressed a reported concern that dedicated drops for Wotan were not dropping in Mayhem 4
Doesn’t quite sound like they got it right. It’s not the Mayhem 4 loot that’s the issue. I guess we’ll have to wait and see later today.
I will run the Takedown later today. My way of testing if the drops are fixed.
