Just wondering if you´re sarcastic now, since I thought your main argument why Bird Hunt sucks is that unique chars are off and that multiple same characters in a team are what you dislike most.

Just a bit confused now.

I havent read this thread since it was posted. I wasnt interested in the event at first. I still havent read this thread.

I’ll just let y’all know we had a blast on this game mode tonight. Well, until we decided we needed more characters. Then we moved it to private matches, but it was still a blast. And several of us were recording. It was great!

I’ll try to remember to post the vids once theyre uploaded, but theyre pretty backlogged right now so it won’t be for a while on my end. Ace and Webbard were definately streaming & recording though too, plus some others.

We’ll do it again, we always do. But we just got to do it publically this time, so the lore and xp was a bonus. If we’re stuck with private in the future again, it’s fine, but I’m just thankful we got the event and got to enjoy it! :smiley:

It would appear most of us PC users don’t like it either. During BB day we topped just over 700 players, but have yet to top 300 since then even with this “event” going on. Before BB day, we had at least over 300 on the weekends, but I think these gimmicky “modes” need to stop. I could be wrong and we’ll go over 300 next weekend, but I doubt it.

Why? With the damage he has he still makes life a misery for large hitbox characters (Toby, Montana, Attikus, ISIC=food), annihilates medium (Kid Ultra=tasty, tasty, tasty) and small hitbox characters if you can actually aim, and has solid waveclear throughout (due to being able to kill shepherds quickly) which only ramps up to one of the best with temporal distortion damage helix, windfall, and an AOE ult that tends to one shot an entire wave. And he does all of this while being in total safety from range with one of the smallest hitboxes in the game, reliable escape, decent sprint speed, and one of the best quick melees. I only ever feel threatened by characters like Thorn and Mellka due to their tiny, tiny hitboxes, agility and in-your-face nature.

He was stupid OP before. Now he’s fine.

So why exactly do you think he needs a buff?

His dmg is lackluster. The 2nd nerf hit him hard. Now he’s bad. They need to increase his sniper dmg.

Take his attack damage helix and/or attack damage gear. I still hide from him whenever I’m playing ISIC or Montana, so he still does enough damage. All that’s changed is that he has to rely more on his teammates now (funny how this is a team oriented game, eh?) instead of being able to terrorize anybody on the opposing team all by himself. I think he’s fine where he is aside from the reveal on his owls.

The 1st Nerf they gave Marquis was reasonable. His passive was extremely op back then. That nerf was alright. The 2nd nerf they gave him really mess him up. Nerfing his base health and his dmg made him feel extremely weak. You barley see him being played or picked after the 2nd nerf. (The bird hunt does not count). I have a bunch of friends that play this and they agree he needs a buff.

His damage should be weaker than at least some other members of the cast given how much of a range and safety advantage he has. If I can deal more damage with Marquis, then say, Mellka, why would I pick Mellka when I can do more damage from further away (and thus more safely) with Marquis?

Unfortunately I don’t think anyone has up to date dps data anymore since the battleborn bible is outdated. I may do some testing later in the week, but probably cbf because dps testing isn’t exactly fun. More likely I’ll just take some screenshots of my games to demonstrate that his damage is fine overall. IMO if you wanted to buff his sniper damage you’d need to nerf owls (including windfall) and temporal damage helix.
