BL2 had 3 things that makes it much tougher than TPS.
- OP levels
- A steeper scaling, so Lvl 72 in BL2 and Lvl 70 in TPS aren’t really comparable.
- And UVHM was much harder. In BL2 all enemies got a higher health multiplier and normal ones got health regeneration. Badasses and shields got more of a buff in TPS, but more of nothing is still nothing.
And unfortunately I got BL2 around when digi-peak came out so I never really got to experience the lower levels that much so I can’t say what I used b/c I simply forged my way from 1 to OP8 without really doing anything in between.
Yeah x9 health x9 enemy damage is no joke (at least I assume that’s how it works). And 1 character can trivialize him, but I’d say it’s near impossible for the other to kill him in a timely fashion or at all. Seeing as besides Athena I’ve only seen one other kill of him and that was with a Nisha and it wasn’t pretty, and the DLC has been out for 10 months.

I feel bl2 at 72 and tps at 70 are very similar. Bl2 obviously is harder cause of the op levels. But at op 0 i tear through enemies in bl2 just as easy and quick as i do in tps at level 70. I actually think tps feels harder sometimes cause of the buff to elemental damage in uvhm and alot of enemies use elemental weapons. And also baddasses seem beefier to me tps.

The first is bugged and doesn’t apply its still 1.75 for fire on flesh, and the other is just a placebo I think. I played both games today and BL2 felt like it had more elemntal weapons. Lasers skew this in TPS’ favor, but it only really comes into effect in areas where an enemy only uses lasers as their weapon.
They are, but if TPS had slag they wouldn’t seem beefier. If you play both games slag-less or if TPS had slag I feel you’d notice quite a difference, and would probably have a different opinion.
I assume you mean Sh4dow-tp, and here’s the video I was talking about.

That’s what I’m going by. Playing bl2 at 72 with no slag. And comparing it to tps at 70. Yes bl2 is a harder but not by much. They both have areas where things seem harder and easier. I play bl2 and tps alot. And i definitely notice more elemental weapons in tps. But anyway my whole point was bl2 at op 0 and tps at 70 to me aren’t a huge difference.

Yeah that was a glitch, but I thought it was fixed. I’ll have to test it tomorrow. Do you have to finish the arena at that level or die at that level or just set it to 9?
I never played at level 72 so you may be right, I just used what I’ve heard from others.

Just to make sure you’re using lvl 72 gear right? I’m only asking since it seems you’d already done the OP levels and I know OP0 is very easy with OP8 gear. Just curious.

Ok thanks. Maybe I’ll have to start a new character and play for a while at Lvl 72.

THANK YOU, Gearbox!
As a player who came to TPS late, and as someone who doesn’t gib gear, I thought I was going to simply miss out on some guns, and be stuck crossing fingers that I got a desirable version with others.
Instead, we get this gift! I managed to get a Boomacorn and a shock Machine today, which are exactly the two I had been hoping for. I’m having a LOT of fun with them, and waiting excitedly for BL3!

Are there plans to make other items that are hard to obtain available in game as drops ?
I’m talking about the Naught, Bullpup, Company man, Boss Nova and Fast talker.
Even with the Tales season pass, some of these have variable parts which make getting a good one almost impossible.

None of the 3 methods worked for me, so they probably patched like I thought. Thanks for the info anyways.
Thank you. It really is that simple, if you don’t like the gun or think it’s too overpowered, don’t use it! Why ruin it for everyone else? I play solo and don’t really use Nisha, so that seems pretty ridiculous to me. “I don’t like it, so neither should you.” Really?

Nothing that I know of at this time. There is a tricky line to walk with giving away content that people (sort of) paid for that we have to be respectful of.
Doesn’t mean they’ll always be that way, but for now I don’t think the team is looking to add them as drops any time soon.

Love it when Gearbox shows this game more love.
I’m looking forward to stumbling across the shift guns in the wild.

At a certain point I think that doesn’t matter anymore. About 1 year should be fine. For example, if the Boss Nova became available in April 2015 (don’t know when it actually became available), then April 2016 should be fine.
