Have you not played any Boardgame, Tabletop RPG or Wargame, like, ever?
Also, BL1 was far more frustrating than either TPS or BL2, for many, many people.

Farming the Sentinel for BAR, out of 10 times Iāve got 3 X1s 2 Longnails, a Bulwark, and an orange skin (for Enforcer). Almost an orange every time. It seems much higher than previously.
someone else is playing tps and I do think even more that this week update is more targeted on certain bosses not across the whole bosses like for bunker kind to me 3 leg finds over 20 runs like a few other people have commented on and on tps 15hrs to get the luck cannon (bad rng I suppose) . it also feels when you get one of a boss you might get another pretty quickly then nothing for quite awhile . can I ask you Brisbane what playthrough are you playing?
Normal. Lame, but just for BAR (nearly at reset #11). Bar is an (unhealthy) obsession
Unfortunately, the chip makers that supply XBox, PS, PC, etc., have still been completely unable to implement a āRead Userās Mindā (RUM) instruction. Pity - it would greatly reduce tech support calls, for one thing.
Just out of curiosity, did this increase affect ALL legendaries? Iām asking because it seems that the less popular bosses/ weapons or bosses who drop was glitched in the past (except savage lee) is unaffected. I decided to farm all the bosses and the main ones that stuck out were:
rakkman = gunerang
boll = fastball
black queen = nukem
doc mercy = infinity
captain flynt = thunderball fist (side note sparky dropped it second try)
These bosses Iāve farmed 40+ times and was unsuccessful while pretty much everyone else (even bunker I got 2 Bit** and a sham within 9 tries) dropped their loot. Donāt get me wrong, Iām so happy for this increase. My friends have started playing this game again because of it. A lot of people were sick of farming a boat load of hours and getting nothing and would end up quitting. This is excellent! Another thing I noticed is that LLM didnāt drop any legendaries. I got the ancient rellics and occasional pearls. I thought that was interesting as well.
Boll seems perma-glitched. Iāve had more luck getting the Fastball from Mortar, and both Gunerangs I got were random world drops. Someone posted up-thread that they got a Nukem from the Black Queen this cycle of drop-rate adjustments but, again, all my Nukems came from Tubbies/Chubbies/LLMs. I did have better luck from the Bunker this time around (as did others), and did get a couple of legendaries from LLMs (as well as the inevitable relics). To get a really accurate picture, everyone would need to keep an accurate tally, then post so we could combine all the results (much like the mega-drop rates thread on the old forums).
Oh okay. Thanks for the info on Boll. The gunerang you got as a world drop and not from rakkman though so it makes me wonder if it didnāt affect him. Everyone else I asked about it farmed rakkman and took 30 at the minimum⦠Just makes me wonder if the increase didnāt apply to some of these other bosses. Iām gonna try laney white for the gub and see how long it takes since the gub isnāt that popular either. =p
Chubby Stalker in Research & Development (first one Iāve seen in ever, got possibly a tad over excitedā¦)⦠playing UVHM, Level 66⦠dropped a Level 67 blue Cryo grenade that still didnāt stack up against my equipped level 50 Homing Quazar.
Sad times.
Ouch. I feel your pain. Farmed LLM from wildlife for about 20 mins and still no legendaries. And Iām spawning all 4 each time. How is this even possible? X/
Tell you what I havenāt seen for quite some time now ⦠a Tubby anything.
Been farming WEP, Dust and various other locations and havenāt seen one in probably a week and a half now.
Are they extinct?
Whereās week three?
Yes i have, and our dungeon master was perfect in terms of balancing.
If our characters were to strong he made the monsters stronger and if
we were to weak he made them weaker.
Fights were allways tough but fair this way. And this is possible to
implement in games to. There are games that adapt the difficulty
according to the performance of a player.
Regarding the droprates, a significant increase would be a good idea
to make things less frustrating.
And believe me, if i start something i get it done. But if i would have
known this issues before, i would not have bought that game. And that
is what i will do, inform others about this problems
What exactly was frustrating in Borderlands 1?
And regarding normal dice games: I only played classical board
games where tactics were more important than luck, because i
had greater chances to win such games. Pen & Paper RPG are
something different, this is cooperative gameplay
There is no need to implement this mind reading stuff in hardware. It would be enough if Gearbox would implement decent droprates (something like 33%) so people do not get angry about this issues.
No mind reading is necessary, they just should read their answers in the survey.
Got quite a few drops the past few days. One very interesting one was a Storm Front from Iwajira. Not complaining though!!
I was also thinking that they were playing around with droprates of specific bosses and not overall droprates but i think this is not true. Over the weeks i always found the same āhotspotsā like knuckledraggers. So other bosses just have even worse droprates and it still needs a lot of tries. in the end it is like gambling, not very satisfying to do the same stuff again and again.
i would say, increse the droprates a lot then it will be more fun. And those people having no job and loving endless farming of bosses, you can still go and look for the best stuff because if you get 10 legendarys you still will find better ones of the same type from time to time. some are underlevelled, some do not have the right sights, some have elemental powers.
And those with less patience like me will still get decent weapons.
Dont forget, they wear out fast, even legendarys.
Okay, so it took me 27 tries to get the gub from laney white. I went back to the bunker and got a sham on the 12th try. Itās just weird that the more difficult legendary I got quicker. Right now Iām farming Doc Mercy and so far Iāve farmed him a total of 57 times today. 11 infinities. out of the 11, 2 of them were elemental (one corrosive and one shock). Honestly the increase should just stay permanent. A good amount of time and effort is still put into the game to get the weapon you want/need. I need a fire infinity so who knows how long itāll take⦠havenāt gotten a norfleet from hyperius yet either⦠but what can you do⦠back to farming. Still great job gearbox I still appreciate the increased drop rates
I just wished we could get better rng drop rates not hours of play for a gun under my level and donāt kill anything
Got an Longitudinal Longbow sniper rifle from a Badass Creeper, and Punctilious Thunderball Fists pistol from a Loot Midget Engineer.
Today was a good day.
Boll has never had the fastball designated to him, when people couldnāt work out where it came from they assumed it was boll and it has been a popular rumor ever since despite him not actually having it in his loot pool aside from the 1/10,000 world drop chance which could be any legendary.
im liking these drop rates. I think they are perfect
the tubbys are another big example. There loot pool is so damn big. And they are rare spawns as it is. And they are the only way to get the second wave of pearls. Which too me are the rarest weapons to get in bl2.
