OMG…80? Yikes. I’m just wondering if I will ever even make it to 80 lol. So I end up grinding with weapons other than what I want only to end up never making 80 and never using them. I guess I will just see how the leveling goes.
This also makes me think that doing a lot of side missions in TVHM to get close to 50 but saving the missions with good unique rewards so you can complete them immediately before UVHM so you have a 50 or near 50 version to use for a while might be a good idea?
Definitely! Slagga is perhaps the only one that I save.
Fibber, LF (which is near the end anyways), Heartbreaker, Maggie (if not Slagga), Orphan Maker is available almost immediately in Scarlett’s.
I can’t think of any others worthwhile.
For UVHM levelling, easy farms like the Hornet, Harold, Hammer Buster, Lyuda can get you through a lot. Farm a new one every 3 levels or so. Plus the loot train for COMs, relics, grenades, shields. And the midgets in Wildlife Preserve.
Oh wait…you can reset the missions in UVHM anytime you want? I guess my previous post doesn’t make a lot of sense if you can just reset the missions at will in UVHM. Does that reset the story as well or just side missions or is it by zone?
No no. The items I mentioned in the last post aren’t quest rewards. They’re dedicated drops.
Savage Lee drops the Harold.
Knuckledragger the Hornet.
McNalley the Hammer Buster.
Gettle or Mobley the Lyuda.
Quests are once per play through as you’d expect.
Once you complete UVHM you can reset the entire story but that’s for when you have no life.

You can technically reset UVHM at any point, not just after finishing Story mode. So if you get a Flame of the Firehawk you don’t like in the first mission out of Sanctuary, you could reset UVHM right then and do the whole story and sides again. Just doesn’t happen very often.
And of course there is one outlier: You can only get oneBad Touch SMG from Moxxi. One per character. So if you decided to pick it up in NVHM you cannot get another one in T or UVHM for that character . Most wait until late in UVHM to do that.
Me? I’ve got 156 Borderlands 2 characters so I’ve got plenty of Bad Touches. And no life…

I’ll say nope to the second statement my esteemed colleague Jefe has put forward.
You can always get a Good Touch, at your level, by tipping Moxxi. Good touches are easy to get. Once you get one you have to save/quit/reload to do it again since the tip jar stops allowing tips until you do so, but you can get an infinite number of Good Touches as long as you save/quit.
Just got an OP4,5 and 6 one to demonstrate that. Of course the video is now uploading to Xbox Live, which means it might be Friday before it finishes…
Quick edit: This is actually a good way to get cash if you need it, also. Fr example I tipped about $1,300 to get an OP6 Good Touch, which is worth $2,050,016 if you sell it to a vendor. Pretty good return on your money.

So I’m a bit confused on the process of getting the Good/Bad touch SMGs. Bad Touch can only be gotten once per character so you should wait until max level to get that. Good touch can be gotten at any level and repeatedly gotten with additional tipping.
However, if both guns are gotten randomly from tipping Moxxi…how do you get the Good Touch first (before hitting max level) without getting the Bad Touch first and ruining your chance to get it at max level?
That’s thE challenge, you don’t. Thats why most folks wait until max level to start tipping.
You can’t control which you’ll get.
So, if you’re only going to do one character you need to wait. If you’re goofy like me and have more that 100 you can get bad touches at various levels, and good touches at all levels.
But if you just want to play through once or twice, you’ll need to wait before you do any tipping.

On 360 I remember always getting the Bad Touch first, then always the Good Touch afterwards.
There’s a workaround where you can split-screen a second character in - even a new level 1 character - trade them cash, then have them tip Moxxi until she hands over the Bad Touch. Voila, instant host-levelled Bad Touch.
