There are so many things going on with Gearbox and BL3 that I wonder if they ever think about what theyāre doing sometimes. So many stupid things going on inside and outside the game.

The reason behind it (mentioned by Randy) is because of them testing the Golden Key system. I am confident they will release shift codes with longer life span, not to mention even more keys in the future.

Even better, ātheyā show on the banner in the show that the Shift Code for Bloody Harvest expires on 9/24/19 at midnight. That means 24:00 hours on the 24th. Itās 07:20 CST on 9/24 and the Shift Code is not accepted.
If your creative writers and interns cannot figure out what Midnight on the 24th means, they should have paid attention in school. Itās not that hard. If they meant Monday midnight, also known as 0:00 hours on the 24th, then they are not able to communicate their intent.

While itās nice to get them, having them limited time only on USA hours is not exactly fair.
Iām in Europe and donāt get to use the internet while at work and so by the time I get home, thereās a brand new code waiting on my feed that expired an hour ago.
If I had Twitter Iād be tweeting this instead but Iām hoping Randy and Gearbox will make the time limited codes 12 hour rather than 6 hour so those of us who work for a living get a shot at some vendor trash!

Agree, I tried to post in another thread but it had been moved here. I keep telling Randy that in Twitter but Iām sure he doesnāt read any tweets. 24 hours should be the minimum time-out time. Letās get it done.
That hadnāt been the case as typically theyāre released with 4-7 hours time-outs. I donāt think Iāve seen any with longer, but I could be wrong. I try and scan Twitter as much as I can due to not having luck getting notifications to work, but damn, letās make it 24 hours now.
Testing has been mentioned as what GB is indicating these limited time keys are for.
As a software guy, this doesnāt fit my brain.
The Shift key system is probably the most robust part of BL. Itās been running smoothly in BL2 for 7+ years. TPS changed a little, but that too has been running for 5+ years.
And they managed to retro-fit it into BL1 (which took a good bit of work) and itās been working seamlessly there.
Itās a āsimpleā set of REST, or GET/PUT json calls (how Iād do it), and those calls should actually not be changed from BL2 onwards, the āare there new keys/yes here are new key numbers/current count of keys is XXā calls coupled with a playerID are all the system needs (yes, there are additional complications Iām not aware of certainly ) to work the system. And those should be the same from BL2 onward (maybe with some additional parameters, perhaps security enhanced) but my point being the GK system has been robust for many years.

Yeah the fact theyāre on such short time limits and single keys is kinda ridiculous.
Itās not so much the single key stuff, itās the fact I wake up and see 2 twitter notifications that keys released overnight with very short time to redeem, lucky I was up at 5.30am for work this morning and managed to catch one!

i had mentioned a 24 hour expiration on another topic.
after more thought, why not a 48 to 72 hour minimum
expiration date.

Agreed. Anything less than a 24hr window is kinda bs, and those people in charge should have known better before starting their āexperimentā on us. Keys expiring too quickly is a hugh turn-off, and Iām losing interest in the program as a result.

Hey guys big problem here. Iāve noticed ever since borderlands 3 came out Iāve been missing out on things in real life. For example the flowers are blooming outside and Iām missing out daily on the experience of their beauty and the genuine beauty of nature. Gearbox I hope your listening right now because you need to HELP ME!!! Your ruining my experience. I missed out on the weekly mountain bike trail ride!!!
Itās ridiculous I spend all this time playing the game yet things in life are passing me by. Iām having major FOMO feelings right now!!!

+1 here, please make the expiration time longer(IMO 72 hour would be ideal) , I was barely able to redeem any keys since most of them are expired already

On your side, but i gotta correct you. You had 24hrs ending at 0000 on Sept 24. Your window opened at 0001 on Sept 23.
