I was taught he was a hero, it was by doing research I realized he wasn’t. It’s quite the opposite of what you say.
We as a nation celebrate him, we have a holiday named after him. How is our educational system teaching us he is bad while celebrating him?

And other than Troy and the raft of bosses we slaughter, there are no primary male characters. Everything else is just the regular pile of NPC characters mostly male that need our protagonist’s help.
In the mean time, gbox has suffered no small criticism for Ava or the plot, all chocked up to poor writing. It just doesn’t read leftist; gearbox isn’t proposing that a government take over the means of production, just a crappy job.
Go back and review set of bad guy for the other pieces of the franchise. They’re all male, or a monster… you’re complaining about 1 story.
