Bloody Harvest makes annointment farming a lot harder

yep i finally got a legendary to drop, i am playing mayhem 2 nomal, because my gear isn’t ready for mh3 tvhm, i got a legendary to drop was so jazzed, only to find out it was a phase grasp anointment that launchs skulls that do next to nothing for damage.

Talk about crapping the bed. They give us a great reason to farm with this week 4 anniversary bonus (more anointed loot in mayhem!) and then completely ruin it with the Bloody Harvest “terror” anointment taking up a good 95% of all anointed drops.

Not at all exaggerating that number either. Since Bloody Harvest launched, 95% (or more) have been this Terror gear. Not only is that time limited but most of the gear is absolutely terror-ble (dad pun!). I had a terror anointed front loader shield drop that said it shot out terror skulls on action skill end but what it did not say was that you had to have terror debuffs for that to happen. So it’s functionally useless unless you let yourself get stacked with debuffs before using the action skill. Even with the stacks of terror, the damage the launched skulls do is laughable.

I have yet to see a single Terror anointment item that I’d use over my standard gear. And three Reblooding quests in and I’m already tired of farming Hecktoplasm. Soooo back to offline mode farming I guess. I won’t get the week 4 increased anointed drop bonus but at least the drops I get won’t be littered with a filler stat.

yep i would have to be lucky to get phasegrasp anoint on al said items, for that skull to even be usefull at all.

I didn’t see your post ahead of mine when I was typing my first post. You’re referencing the same thing shield perk that I complained about. Wasn’t trying to copy you, I promise!

I’m not sure what people are talking about.

It’s only the skulls that are dropping “Terror” anointed gear for me. Regular mobs (even terrorized ones) are still dropping normal anointment loot. If that’s the case, then the Terror loot table isn’t shared with the normal stuff and should just be a bonus. See below for example:

Should be, but I’ve noticed that whenever an enemy drops a skull that means they don’t drop any gear otherwise. So you only get the gear that drops from the skull – which will be Terror gear.

Farming hecktoplasm in Jakob’s Estate, I was easily getting an 8:1 ratio on terror anointments to vanilla ones. I don’t even want to know how awful it is in CoS or Proving Grounds.

Strange - not sure. I’ll keep an eye out.

Was in Lecture city for 1 hr and 1/2 and got zero Hecktoplasm .

i have gotten quite a few terror drops from none terror characters, i got one from beans, he gave me a westergun with terror skulls on phasegrasp. i can’t show you because i already vendored it.

Actually no. I’ve seen plenty of perks that put terror on your character so the other perks work. To be honest, I’ve seen a lot of really cool stuff, but you want to know the problem? I DONT HAVE ANY ■■■■■■■ ROOM FIR THESE ITEMS. Damn it.

Does gearbox really think I can just abandon the builds I’ve been hording for? Just throw all that out the window and start going for a terror build??? What a huge oversight this event is. I’d like to put a terror build together, but literally can not. Facepalm

and i am sure as hell if they happen to add an option to turn it off, they will add it after this weeks increased annointed event end. so we cant farm our desired gear…

It seems the terror anointed gear has also infiltrated earls vending machine…:expressionless:

Awesome…(sarcasm)

Don’t worry. GB is addressing this by doubling the bank space two weeks after this event ends. Brilliant.

First thing I did was dump gear into a split screen account to make space. So right.
