Bloody harvest wasn't very well though out was it?

aye that is definately a fair point, however feeling the need to complete the challenges is optional and just gives folks something extra to do if they want.

I still like world drops as the are now but dedicated sources are also needed.

I don’t mind world drops at all, and I enjoy them, but yes, dedicated drops are absolutely needed.

Yea if world drops stay untouched and add dedicated sources I’ll be happy

I mainly don’t like that they’re running it concurrently with the anniversary event and everything else objectively beneficial in micropatch form. The only way to turn it off if the ghost heads start to get annoying is to give up everything else in the micropatch, which apparently includes making Hollow Point explosions still damage you, I found out. I thought that was actually patched. I could tolerate Mayhem not being easier from the anniversary event, but I didn’t realize how many things micropatching still puts a bandaid on, but haven’t actually been fixed, until this event made me want to play offline sometimes.

It wasn’t bothering me until I started another new playthrough, hoping the ghosts don’t activate until you talk to Morice but they do. I can’t express how annoying they are at low levels. Wasting time and ammo and they apparently do not count towards xp. Totally a waste.

Yes I think ghosts should count as xp and headshots for those skills that headshots help

It’s good to have dedicated loot sources, but i like that we have the chance to get everything as a world drop, because i personally hate farming. But If i want to increase my chances of getting that specific weapon i know where to go.

That basically sums it up on how it should be. If that were the case farming for my coveted gamma burst warlord wouldnt be so hard. Graveward gets kinda boring but all of my gamma burst annointments have come from him. Plus loads of class mods

Yes, I agree, me too!!! BL3 is a ton better from what makes a game great, and that’s the fun factor. Destiny just feels like a chore when I play it now (and I play it a lot). Borderlands brings me great happiness, it’s really hard to explain.

I understand D2 is a grindfest, but I personally enjoy that to a degree.

I love BL2 to death and BL3 could still hit that mark, but one shortcoming I always had with BL series is that you could have all the gear in the bank waiting and once you hit max level and equipped the gear, you’re basically done.

Yes, you can farm and play Slaughter Shaft and what not, but for me it gets old fast. I enjoy having things to work toward that help my character. The account levels for BL just seem a bit lacking for my taste, not that they aren’t super helpful, because they are, they just aren’t very fun.

D2, while a grind, always gives me something to do to improve my character. I am only at 928 so I have a ways to go, but it has really slowed down. Now, I really look forward to weekly bounties for the powerful engrams to improve my character. I do lots of daily bounties to get my seasonal prizes which also get me gear and resources I need.

Hell, I am hoping that the Rage Nightmare hunt hits next reset so I can farm the shotgun. I got my perfect machine gun in the current setup and made it legendary and I love it.

The point is, D2 has stuff I can always do to improve my character, while BL just…ends. I like always having more to do. I would so LOVE to see a seasonal system implemented for the BL series to work toward special gear like D2 does.

I can see what you’re saying now that I’ve max’d out FL4K and have pretty much graduated from Mayhem 1. I don’t have nearly the amount of legendary gear a lot of you do, but once the campaign is done and all we’re doing is the new event or working on a new character, there’s not much left.

You’re right on always having something to grind for in D2, at least as far as light is concerned, and now that there’s armor 2.0 and the battle pass, there’s even more to shoot for.

I also realized that to get the 15 challenges done in the haunting it’ll be a hella grind, I mean how many times does Maurice need me to collect goo?! Obviously 25 times as that’s how many times I have to kill the boss!!! It’s just a good thing the event is 6 weeks, otherwise I’d go nuts. I’ll just alternate between BL3, Modern Warfare.

I’m also trying to decide if I want to start a new character in BL3, and/or, finish TVHM on FL4K, so many decisions.

Not much more to say. The bloody harvest event is ruining the only good event week gearbox has run for the anniversary month. Boss week was garbage. Eridium week was garbage. Legendary week was garbage. The anointed week WAS by far the best and now the bloody harvest DLC is tearing apart the loot tables.

It can’t turned off if some of us hated the Terror which kinda puts me off in playing. I can’t farm an annointed Binary Westergun, only to when I get it I got the Terror one from Private Beans.

…are you kidding me? All I mostly see is Stark prefixes

Actually it was very well thought out because the Terror mechanics are very interesting and add a lot to the game. I’d recommend farming up some sweet Terror-anointed gear because you may very well regret it later. And the event lasts for more than a month. If they made it so that you can go farm Traunt just by save quitting people would be fed up after a couple days and would start complaining that there is nothing to do in this event.

I was wondering if this was a repeatable myself, after just having finished it, and then being told to go out and farm 25 more ghosts… While this isn’t hard, and I can just go to Lectra City normal mode, and one shot everything, while also wearing rocket boots, I don’t think I can bring myself to farm them. I’d much rather spend my time finishing diff modes of the game, and or leveling up different characters.

As for the skins. They don’t intrigue me too much. I’ve seen what they look like, not really interested. Especially, as previous people have said, not for what they’re asking of you to do. If you want the skin, you have to finish at least 12 of them, at which then, you might as well try to go for the full 15. I personally, don’t have the time of day to do what they ask of you for the challenges, nor do they sound appealing, or fun at all.

I would have to agree that maybe Gearbox hasn’t thought this event through to well, and the only reason they’ve made it ā€œGrindyā€, is to buy time to try and make actual interesting content, and or ā€œTest the Watersā€, to see just how time people are willing to spend doing stuff like this.

It’s just my opinion, but, they probably don’t even have the first DLC Campaigns and quests figured out yet. So, try to buy as much time as you possibly can, to rush out something that might be as bad, or worse than the actual story.

Love the game so far, have by no means burned myself out on it yet, as I don’t play it 24/7. But, I don’t think I’m going to finish anymore than the 2 challenges I currently have done, just by playing the game. I might get a few more, but it certainly won’t be on purpose, or inteded by any means.

I’m with you. I rinsed and repeated killing Haunt 3 times and then I realized what I was doing and what Gearbox had planned for me to complete all 15 challenges. Nope, I learned my lesson prior to Destiny Shadowkeep coming out and we could get that one set of 2.0 armor. I did that grind and what was that armor good for once Shadowkeep launched, zippee! Not going down that path again for any game.

I had no idea Gearbox had set up the haunt that way. I simply can’t imagine going through the 25 ghosts and 25 boss kills just for a few skins. I got box 1 but I don’t have the strength to get the rest. I see what everyone is saying now, even if I wanted to start another character I’d have to deal with the ghosts and terror loot. Sigh.
