Got a gun sent to me by a casual friend and it seems suspicious…

x20 pellet Boom Sickle.

I’ve never seen more than x10 on a Boom Sickle

Base damage is smaller per pellet than an x10…but not by a whole bunch…

I mean it looks “feasable” based on damage numbers…but don’t know if a Boom sickle can spawn in game with an x20.

Guy is just a casual friend…don’t know him that well…

That’s a modded gun. All BOOM Sickles are x10 as far as I know. At least all I’ve found so far are x10.

Almost certainly modded but, if you have a known good Boom Sickle then note it’s item score which will be well outside the normal range. If known good is say 640 then even M10 will be around 650 like for like.
Examine it in item view and look at the components note things like barrel accessory or in your case the component that sets pellet count.

Compare to the suspect gun, it’s usually plain to see where stuff has been added.

Compared…Both at M10…Same weapon card value…664

Don’t see any extra parts that jump out.

Only differences is the base damage is lower per pellet and ammo usage is 3 per shot instead of 2 per shot. Both are Fire M10 Boom Sickles…One with 100% ASE this one with on exit of IB, gain125% Fire damage for next two mags

Damage Values on the cards are
5784 x 10 = 57,840 for 2 bullets per shot
4048 x 20 = 80,960 for 3 bullets per shot

Reload, Mag Size, Accuracy, and Handling all approx the same…

Dunno…but looks…feasible…
