I have to say that on xbox one with the new button mapping this game is far more accesible than before. I like the atmosphere and shooting better in the first game, but hated going back to the preset controls.

2k Support got back to me as I sent a ticket in for help and this was their reply

I am sorry to hear you are unable to access the DLC you paid for in Borderlands. I know it’s frustrating when you don’t get what you purchased! Rest assured, I want to do everything I can to make sure you get what you are entitled to!

First, I would like to try some basic troubleshooting. Please try clearing the cache on your Xbox One. Here is how you can do that:

  1. Power down your XB1 completely.
  2. Disconnect your XB1 from power
  3. Plug your XB1 back into power
  4. Power up your XB1
  5. Sign into your Gamertag

There has been a record of this issue at Microsoft’s. I think Xbox could have some clarification on that backwards compatibility.

For the Game of the Year edition, accessing DLC doesn’t require you to insert the DLC disc on Xbox One. Only your purchased DLC, however, will be usable on Xbox 360.”

If this does not solve the issue, please try uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are still experiencing this issue, could you send me the following information?

Where did you purchase the DLC:
Was it a digital copy or disc copy with codes:
What is the content you purchased (product code):
Any receipt, purchase history, etc. that is relevant:

well I have just left it as I thought what is that going to do whats clearing the cache going to do as it maybe a server issue as for some reason they may have not put it on but I dont know yet sorry for the long wall of text.

When is zombie island dlc going to be added. Its the only dlc that is missing :frowning:

Did you try traveling to zombie island in the game? That worked for me.

Yeah, I couldn’t get the zombie island DLC to work on the XBox One either. I found the others just fine. But trying to access them in game or from the store, I could not get that one. And if I’m going to replay the game, I kinda want the full experience.
