Bit nervous about this one as it’s a rather well known song and I was worried I’d ruin it. People suggested on the previous one that I should try do something metal instead of electronica - well, it’s technically rock, but hopefully it’s good enough. I tried to stick as close to the original as possible - the start’s a tiny bit plain, but about two and a half minutes in I started to experiment with stuff, make it a bit more interesting. Did all the little drum riffs too, which was fun.
Also, mathematically, the timing on this song is all over the place. Sometimes the beat’s 9 frames long, sometimes it’s 12, and it went up to 15 at one point. This might not seem like much, and you can’t tell by ear, but it makes editing to it rather difficult at times.
Anyway, without further ado - “The Pretender”!
Hope you enjoy. Leave me some feedback!

Another s**t eating grin on my face means you’ve accomplished your mission!
For creative input, it might be cool to time Maya’s melee strikes with the crash cymbal accents - particularly on the 4th beat of the 4th bar in the chorus.
Love the Sawbar.

Good idea - I had been thinking something needed to back up the pistol/snare on beats 2 and 4, but wasn’t sure what. Glad you liked it!

It is awesom and I can’t express how much am amazed.
Could you possibly use only one thread for your future videos? It would be simpler to find all your syncs.
Again, thanks and keep going.
(I’d like to see/listen to a gun sync of a Tool’s song, that would be really cool).

I honesty didn’t expect to like this. Dude! I’m fricking amazed how much I liked this. Very cool. and I’m with @Jefe love that Sawbar. I was cracking a smile on the chorus change and the subtle entry of the Sawbar. Then, the Sawbar took the lead and that impressed me. using the special affect from the Sawbar in its entirety. very cool.

Might get around to making some more when I get my editing software back up and running…

Late to the party, but this is awesome! Already loved the song and actually being a musician, love the idea of programming percussion with the BL2 weapon cues.
