The WTF was, for certain values of viable, lethal on Axton before (I like to give it a healthy OP buff and play with 20% BAR; for that risk, those orbs should be wrecking face). I think it still produces more damage with grenade damage buffs than electrocute DoT buffs, but at least that skill on the Shock Trooper mod won’t go to waste if that’s your COM of choice.
Perhaps more useful for damage output than the electrocute damage over time is the higher booster proc chance. I didn’t see a change in the card value, and I may be sensing fake results because of my elation with these fixes, but dang if that thing wasn’t showering enemies in Lynchwood with shock death. Scavengers were the only things I was unable to kill with it, mostly because they were squirming around a lot and inadvertently dodged the shock boosters. Everything up to Bone Crushers and UBA Marauders were on the menu though.

Any luck with these yet? I did about 30 runs of the first assassin this morning and just got the usual handful of Commerce drops plus a couple Emperors. Will try a few more runs this afternoon.

Yup. Got Maya’s on my 37th try killing only the first assassin. Still farming for Axton’s and Zer0’s. I’ve also seen a lot of other people around here saying they got them.

Glad to hear. No luck for me today. 50+ runs over two sessions. Maybe tomorrow. 
Wow, was not expecting more hotfixes. Still waiting on all these to be patched in.

I got an assassin skin yesterday from reeth, I wasn’t farming for them just running the map. It was zer0’s dark night I think
I am liking how Gearbox is still fixing issues this long after the release of Borderlands 2, I am quite impressed.

I’m noticing that something else was changed on those skins… Now they all seem to be purple rarity. They were white rarity before the hotfix. That’s nice. Makes it easier to notice when one of them drops.
Actually, they are all purple except Zero’s skin which is still white. (At least that’s how it is on PS4)

I remember seeing an old(er) YouTube video where Axton’s skin was white rarity. This was on PS3.
As for the purple, when I saw a glimpse of the first drop I cursed because I initially thought it was eridium.

That’s weird. Weren’t them all white before the hotfix? The wiki lists them all as white (but I know it isn’t to be trusted). These used to be so rare before the hotfix that I doubt anybody had actually seen all of them drop. The only documented legit drop from before the hotfix that I’ve seen on YouTube is for the Zer0 skin. It was white back then and apparently it’s still white now. Maybe they were all purple and Zer0’s was the only white one even before the hotfix, but no one knew that because they would never drop.
Now I’m not sure about Axton’s anymore. I just assumed that they were all white before the hotifix because the one for Zer0 was (and still is, apparently).
You and @Angelripper are correct. I misremembered which character skin it was that dropped as a white rarity. I assume as well that all the others have always been purple.
Got the Commando skin to drop on my second run this afternoon. Yay!!

Finished getting the last three Assassins skins this morning. So happy Gearbox made them obtainable.
A couple questions for those in the know:

Where is the best spot to go after Maya’s Frozen Wrath skin in the Hammerlock DLC? Does any enemy in particular drop it?

Regarding the previously unobtainable Dahl skins that were “unlocked” in the last update, has anyone found a drop source for them or were they added to the slot machines?

They are rare world drops, so you can get them from pretty much anything in the game - slots, vendors, enemies, boxes, chests, LMs/LLMs, skagg & stalker goo piles…
