Hey everyone :smile:!

Seeing as Gearbox had little to no information on Borderlands 3 during Pax, I started compiling a list of things I wish to see in Borderlands 2 to keep us busy. The main focus I had was the acquisition of unique gear that is only obtainable through resetting a playthrough and resetting the game for the desired weapon/shield etc.
Which doesn’t really appeal to me :slight_smile:.
I wrote down everything per DLC, spreading the gear among unique enemies or just adding other stuff to extend the full experience of the DLC theme. The remaining gear is placed in the Main Game.

Everyone that can be farmed according to this list will keep the original drops as well!
I’m sorry in advance, there will be a lot of text.

Quick Overview:

Main Game
No real changes here, just some loot added to unique enemies.

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty:
It should be all about treasure seeking.

Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage
It should be all about battling.

Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt
It should be all about hunting down various creatures.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep
Aside from some gear I want to see as a drop, nothing more xD.

All the Headhunter Packs
The headhunter packs should be more than just a holiday themed area. The ability of finding many different gear should be an option, together with some added Badass Challenges for the completionists and more!

The best way to look at these changes, is to start looking at the Head hunter packs, followed by the 4 story DLC. As most changes will be made within these.
I won’t explain every choice I’ve made, since I don’t want to bother everyone to much, so without further ado :smile: :

Main Game

Changes

  1. W4R-D3N will respawn at Friendship Gulag, even if the player killed him on the Bloodshot Ramparts.
  2. Peter ‘Bagman’ Zaford respawns in the Holy Spirits’ Ale Wee Cavern.
  3. Deputy Winger drops unique loot.
  4. Handsome Jack’s body double respawns and drops unique loot.
  5. Bad Maw drops unique loot.
  6. The floor in Wildlife Exploitation Preserve where Son of Mothrakk spawns is solid.
  7. The empty patch in Tundra Express next to the entrance at Tiny Tina’s is filled up.
  8. Community Day Heads and Skins have a higher chance as world drop.
  9. Vermivorous always drops a Norfleet when killed.
  10. Bunker has increased drop rates for the Bitch and the Sham.

  2. Captain Blade’s gear is spread among unique enemies to be farmed.
  3. Roscoe respawns in the Leviathan’s belly and drops unique loot.
  4. Grendel takes over the unique loot dropped by No-beard.
  5. H3RL-E receives more health and drops unique loot.
  6. H3RL-E only shows a cutscene upon first encountering him in a playthrough.

  5. Anonymous Troll respawns and drops unique loot.
  6. Monster Truck respawns and drops unique loot.
  7. Buff Gamer respawns and drops unique loot.
  8. Game Critic respawns and drops unique loot.
  9. The Cobra has a higher chance to drop in the Beatdown.
  10. Legendary Loot Midgets are added and drop mainly Torgue Tokens.

  3. Spawning Dexiduous costs 5 eridium per furnace instead of around 20.
  4. Dexiduous always drops a CHOPPER when killed.
  5. Killing Jackenstein opens the H.S.S. Terminus’ armory.
    6 Jackenstein drops unique loot beside his original drop.
  6. Woundspike drops unique loot.
  7. Der Monstrositat respawns and drops unique loot.
  8. Dribbles respawns and drops unique loot.
  9. Rakkanoth respawns and drops unique loot.
  10. Thermitage respawns and drops unique loot.

I once pitched the idea of having the mission reward for the peak be mission reward guns rather than purples, but I like what you are thinking here. Being able to farm these would be huge.

I would rather see more patch support for the pre sequel from gearbox over bl2. But id welcome either, and i like your ideas.

Thank you ! Well, the Pre-Sequel just lacks in story dlc. The game itself is great don’t get me wrong, but there just isn’t enough content to push it further in time. Borderlands 2 does :slight_smile:

Although I like the idea of more raid bosses think instead of doing just all the ones in badass crater I’d do a couple in all dlc.

I thought about it long and hard ( somewhere in there is a Moxxi innuendo). But I could not really think about any dlc that fits the theme more than Torgue’s. Pirate dlc already has 2, Hammerlock’s has 2 in a way, Tina’s has 1 so maybe there and all the Headhunters should receive just one. What would you suggest ?

I was thinking all the headhunters yeah. And maybe limit it to 3 per story dlc. Just an opinion.

Well there’s still issues in the pre sequel that need to be fixed. Also a handful of bosses without drops. They also can do events like they have in the past, plus more. Bl2 has seen alot in its days. So that’s my reasons why id rather see them do the pre sequel first.

I understand. I would love to compile a list just like this ;). Since I put it in the Handsome Collection section I have no choice after all haha. Too bad we didn’t see Fall of New Haven in the end. That could have pushed it up to Bl2 quality.

Brilliant idea! I need a reason to go back to Borderlands 2, I mean I probably will anyway, but this would keep me going for a lot longer!

May I add INCREASED DROP RATES FOR COMMUNITY DAY HEADS AND SKINS, ahem, excuse me haha.

I myself was thinking about something pretty major -> making the ground solid in Son of Mothrakk’s arena.

They could simply add locked chest that will drop items instead of Son of Mothrakk’s.
