Borderlands 3 Hot Fixes [10/17/2019]

Good to know then.

I just solo’d slaughterdome 3000 and the recurring hex still puts in work. At least the shock element is good for stripping shields… pretty sure it’s STILL the best grenade in the game

Go with he window makers, they will more than likely be better the n the Hex now after this ridiculous nerf

I’m okay with a hex nerf I was expecting it, as I said earlier the changes to the flakker and hex are just too much and iron bear 50% health adds maybe 2 seconds of uptime and still no damage… my point is they killed a viable build to stop grenade spam (their words) but all it does is encourage it and makes this particular build much less fun in the process.

I tried the shock on konrad’s hold, it sucked…

My thunderball fists ripped shields better.

And thats on normal mayhem 3

If this Also applies to Big Booms Blaster I can see it becoming a must have. Restoeying 60% shield, 1 grenade & 1 heavy ammo is too good.

did you have a negative shock or negative grenade (or both) modifier? I didn’t have either and was doing pretty good at stripping shields.

These guns were literally in every build on every character. It wasn’t just about fl4k.

Lost my cloud save after this hotfix… Can we get another hotfix to fix the lost time and gear?

Then they at least need to give us the option to turn it off (along with a toggle for all the other Guardian perks too, like the one that regens shields and kills Roid builds)

Also why cripple the Bloodletter Mod if there are Grenadier mods for the Grenade Spammers.

They now simply hit the wrong builds with it and now after the newest cripples Moze is lame and boring.

Well, we perhaps should all play as Amara then, because someone just told me that the dude responsible for all the cripples plays Amara as his main and so treats her preferentially, which means Amara probably won’t get crippled, only all the others.

Yeah I’m finally done with this game . Who ever is / was in charge of this open beta release needs to get fired .

Imagine if at work you send out a financial report and keep calling it back on a weekly basis to change it after people have done a ton of work off of it already. Youd be fired in a heartbeat.

Like so countless others have said , it’s a PVE game . If you think something is OP then dont use it. Simple as that, but dont be the annoying kid who runs to the lunch lady to tell her the other kids are being served too much pudding .

BL2 was a great game BECAUSE of the OP builds.

But hey “diversity” is the hot word of the day and whether you want it or not, it’s going to be shoved down your throat even in a video game you play alone to unwind and have fun.

Peace out guys. See you maybe 6 months from now when this game is finished

My modifiers were relatively neutral. The 3 second timer and 1 mag size are the big negatives imo. I found myself throwing way more nades than I ever did before. And running out of ammo in 1 round was annoying to say the least.

By the 1 ammo you’re referring to the Flakker right? Yeah, I have completely abandoned that gun. There’s an alternative for that Flakker on Moze but I don’t want to say what it is because I don’t want it to get nerfed ;__;

Right now Iton Bear gets 5.6x Moze Max health. Which means at 7k health, Ironbear will have 39,200 armor.

With Stainless Steel Bear IB gets another 30% Armor bringing it up to 50k. This makes him pretty tanky as Armor has resistance to most elements except Ice & Corr.

I managed to get an Anointed Shield with 50% Additional health & +75% health after exiting Iron bear. So I normally have around 83k Armor, and 121k after I exit and re-enter.

Right now Iron bear is very strong in TVHM. In Mayhem 3 he can survive just fine with a basic health boost. I haven’t played today but I’m about to see how they went about boosting the health and if itll be 5.6×1.5 or just raised to 6.1

Either way 50% seems like a pretty healthy boost.

EDIT They literally multiplied Moze multiplier by 1.5.

So instead of 5.6x Moze health Iron bear now gets 8.4x Iron bear health.

This is roughly the same amount of health Iron Bear would get with 7/5 in stainless steel bear.

I’m about to put on all my health gear and see how how high it goes.

EDIT

7879 Health +25% & 7/5 in SSB

7879 Health + 50% +75% & 7/5 SSB

Oh DON’T WORRY, IT WILL BE NERFED NEXT

lol… I think it will be : (

Well, I use flakk, hex, bloodletter… almost all of those stuffs and skills are nerfed. Should I be happy with that? because I have found everything that are “outperformed” than others. And now, I guess I need to use 150% boosted iron bear to wipe those enemy in the top level of slaughter, hell’ya! thx gear.

Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for better sustainability on Moze that doesn’t require grenade spam. How about buffing up Force Feedback so it’s not a worse version of the Guardian skill and isn’t stopped instantly by every stray bullet coming your way.

People would be more willing to diversify if there were more options to actually survive.

Oh wow, they really went overboard on the nerfs, in the interview the combat designer said the goal was small nerfs for the OP gear and large buffs for the weak gear, but instead we got the opposite in most cases, large nerfs and small buffs. Hex just got nerfed into the ground, 30-40% damage reduction and 4 seconds might have been ok, but 70% damage reduction and 3 seconds is way overboard. Flakker also got overnerfed, because it uses the whole clip you can no longer regen ammo for it so it will be a huge ammo waster, and you can’t carry enough shotgun ammo in this game to afford using an ammo wasting shotgun, the damage nerf alone would have been enough.

I also think that FL4K’s pets and Iton Bear needed more than just health buffs, their damage output is quite poor on Mayhem 3. I’m not even sure that the health buffs are large enough, I’ve seen Iron Bear drop in like 3 seconds on Mayhem 3 before, 50% more health only increases that to 4.5 seconds before destruction.
