Today we will release a hotfix for Borderlands 3, which will be live on all platforms by 12:00 PM PST. This hotfix addresses concerns reported by the community and makes buffs to various Legendaries. To apply hotfixes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that says “Hotfixes Applied”! If you are experiencing any issues or want to provide feedback, please submit a ticket to

  • Addressed a reported concern that Moist Hand Luke and Grabby Gretchen would occasionally spawn inside of the wall during “Playing with Fire”
  • Addressed a reported concern that Eridium jars in Atlas HQ were occasionally despawning when leaving the area
  • Addressed a reported concern where characters could sometimes get stuck between a bush and the railing in The Spendopticon

  • Addressed a reported concern that the “Like, Follow, Obey” skin was sometimes displaying corrupt textures on the Gunner

Vault Hunters:

This week, we took a look at some character skills that were occasionally not properly reporting what was happening in-game. For these instances, we have updated the description text to show the actual in-game values and removed an instance of a penalty that was not reported on its skill description.

  • Addressed reported instances of the Gunner’s skill descriptions sometimes showing inaccurate values
    • “Hell on Rails” skill description was occasionally showing +30% Fuel Drain instead of the actual +8%
    • “Corrosive Sabot Round” skill description was occasionally showing -50% Railgun Damage and Fuel Drain instead of the actual -33%
  • Addressed a reported concern that the Gunner’s “Active Tracking” skill was receiving a 50% penalty to damage per missile and ammo capacity that was not listed in the skill description. We have removed this penalty
  • Fixed a typo with the Beastmaster’s “Furious Attack” skill in English
  • Addressed a reported concern that Blood Cooled Jackbot’s beam attacks were bypassing the Operative’s barrier

We are also looking at some of our Legendary weapons to get them up to par as part of the impending release of Mayhem 2.0, one of the Spring 2020 content additions we discussed at PAX East.

Remember to let Hotfixes load in.

Noelle put it in the top of the post, I know people will ask even though we say it every week.

Glad to see the increases adding to useable weapon diversity.

Damn, and I sold my +160% Splash and +100% Rakk this week.

No news about missing cosmetics?

Hellshock doesn’t do splash damage so no great loss there.

@Noelle_GBX Great hotfix! Any word on Means of Destruction?

Very nice upgrade to Iron Bear there. Also love the Faisor one. Keep the buffs coming! (especially for Amara’s melee and Fl4k’s pets)

Can we get actual damage increase numbers?

Hmm, maybe that was a reason. I remember I was reading the “Splash Guns” topic while clearing the bank. But the Rakk one could be good.

Too late now, I guess. You’ll find another. With two projectiles, the consecutive hits annointment would be good.

Buff city bish. Buff buff city bish, still ten times damage on the Lob my bish

Okay these buffs are good. But you still need to nerf the lob down to maybe three quarters of what is is now to make it more balanced. We know it’s gonna happen so just do it like we all know it deserves. The sooner the better before people get to used to it and start complaining about the nerf XD

Another week of weapon tweaks and upgrades. Glad to see things like this on non-major content release weeks. Keeps things interesting and gets me to dig around in the vault to see if I have one of those tucked away. It’s like rediscovering a toy you thought lost.

HEY ■■■■ YEAH!

Another great hotfix, thx @Noelle_GBX! Same as last week, I would like to ask if it is possible to indicate also the magnitude of nerfs/buffs with the next hotfixes.

Additionally, are you able to tell us if a rebalance also for grenades is coming anytime soon?
My perception is that grenades are only used as “anointment pocket” because - with few exceptions - they are just not good. Take the fastball as an example.

So are we still not getting any word on the Broken Hearts day rewards. People got screwed left and right and haven’t had any help from support. I, for example, had my profile data corrupt and lost out on these rewards after earning them.

Nice! More weapon buffs!

This is really interesting, I always liked this augment but it was underperforming in comparison to using no augment. Now I know why.

Dang it - i gotta quit throwing away items with good anointments.

Are we ever going to see a hotfix for mobs shooting off into space? I’ve been farming the spiritual driver and have sent Sylvestro flying into orbit more times than I can count. Has happened several times on Gigamind as well.

GBX do NOT do this. Be done with nerfs they do nothing for morale. Every thing (legendaries at least) needs to be as fun as the Lob currently is.

If you feel over powered jump your mayhem up play harder content or use non BiS gear. Nerf should not be in the vocabulary of any one in the community of this game there is no real PVP so balancing by nerfing is just a way to upset an already wounded and on the precipice of leaving player base.

Remember they are prepping for Mayhem2.0 and if it is going to be like OP levels the Lob is in a good place and more guns need to feel like it is now.

I just cleaned out my bank :man_facepalming:
