To reiterate the point about the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite, the following dedicated drops are not dropping at all since the hotfix:

  • Moonfire
  • Kyb’s Worth
  • Redistributor
  • Tiggs’ Boom

In other words, the dedicated drops not exclusive to Mayhem 4+ are not dropping.

Actually all of those M4 drops are part of Wotan’s dedicate loot. Highlights one of the big problem with dedicated drops. It’s not spread out enough. However they did say that was one of the things they will be changing. I hope they include the takedown with that future change.

2 runs yesterday with the lad and certainly none of those items dropped, however I did get 3 bad jujus on the latter run.

I can also confirm this observation.

I have done at least 30 runs by now, and I haven’t seen a single Moonfire/Tigg’s/Redistributor or Kyb’s.

For some reason I find this hotfix somewhat lame or underwhelming. Oh well better than nothing.

This has been my experience since the hotfix as well. Normally I’d just think “nah just bad RNG” but I’m seeing this same experience shared by a lot of people so it does make me suspect something’s amiss.

(Just to add, I am seeing the Valkyries drop their stuff.)

What’s stupid is before the hotfix I never once got those from Wotan, only the sources I mentioned. But Wotan is the sole source of the redistributor, kyb’s worth, moonfire and tiggs boom, so it makes no sense to have those other items in his loot pool. So they probably had some coding problem (one of 243,000 in this game) that prevented the other items from dropping, then fixed it, only to cause a coding problem preventing the original items from dropping. Sweet.

The only time I bothered to run MTD was during the shakedown event after I did a couple outside of it to get technique down. That was the last time I feel the effort was worth it so Gearbox, there’s your solution to MTD, just enable shakedown and walk away.

Same, I only ever saw the M4 drops during the shakedown event. Wotan has always been stingy with his dedicated loot. But he used to drop way more in general.

@Noelle_GBX
Is the team aware of this?

@Noelle_GBX This is very very bad. These anointments need to be changed to M2.0 and not Cartel. These are not just some gimmick anointments. Many of these are well done and integrate well with Vault Hunter builds. Many have completely changed their builds around them. They even help Flak builds feel better. If future content is not going to have these available then this is a serious issue. Trust me you don’t want this to happen. The dev notes have the community fired up about the way Borderlands 3 is headed and singing praises to gearbox. Please do not make that come crashing down with this. Also a large amount of players do not understand these are not tied to M2.0. There will be a lot of unhappy and disappointed players. Keep up the good work Noelle! You are very appreciated by all of us who are very active in the bl3 community.

Hey everyone! Wanted to give an update here! We were able to make some changes in time and:

We’re happy to share that all anointments introduced during the Revenge of the Cartels event will remain in the loot pool after the event ends. That said, we value our community’s feedback, and will continue to evaluate anointments to ensure we’re giving players the best possible experience.
