Is there any news around buffing/nerfing other guns in the game? To be honest, the weapons that were nerfed are understandable, but buffing things like the Jackhammer and Vanquisher seem kind of useless. What about buffing other weapons such as Brainstormer or Lucian’s Call? Or any weapons that’s not an SMG!

Please tell me there are plans to make other weapons in the game viable at M10.

Here’s what one poster wrote

“Thanks to the nerf, all users including me spent hours / days or even weeks free of charge to farm the Kaoson with the desired anointing. After the nerf you can actually forget the weapon, which is hardly useful anymore, GB probably did not realize how much the weapon meant to people, or did not really test what it does now for little damage to Chaos10. I also regret the nerf of the Yellocake because why the nerfen? You can no longer farm it anyway and soon there will be level increases. I also spent so many hours / days trying to farm a lot of weapons with the 300% anointing, which unfortunately has now been changed for the worse. I believe that with each patch / fix a few things are improved, but many deteriorate“

Keep in mind that this one of many. It’s clear that there is a problem with the feedback GBX is receiving. What makes BL fun is that if you play well, you get rewarded with a gun that allows you to overpower enemies. Now, all weapons dropped from about M4-M10 are the same level, regardless of Mayhem label. There are no more weapons that are a reward from effort.

Most of the users are not able to function with the pre nerfed weapons on M10 on the Guardian Takedown, much less with nerfed ones. Unfortunately GBX only listened to limited posters who apparently asked for the guns to get nerfed (which I don’t believe anyone actually asked for this). GBX has hindered itself by taking advice from these posters and what it thought YouTubers/Streamers wanted. So GBX said “Fine, we’ll just cut em all.” So GBX harmed thousands to appease maybe 10-20. I’m only saying this because of the misinformation spread by a few posters in this thread who have desperately crusaded to say “Everything is wonderful, fair, and balanced now.” This is just non-truth at it’s finest.

One can only hope. They need to buff weapons for the fun of using the weapon. The Kaoson was a lot of fun. It was cool drawing a line and watching the enemy cross it right when it was blowing up. Do you remember that lower level shotgun that would do about the same thing - shoot a projectile and blow the enemy up with explosions?

You maybe thinking the Flakker? Or the purple Torgue shotgun Bangstick? Either way I would just like to be able to use more than 6-8 weapons for the purpose of beating the takedown. Everyone also seems to forget there’s an option to restart all missions but keep you build so you can play the game at full power.

I just hope they balance it out so that we can use some other guns. Understandably gimmicky guns can remain nerfed or under powered but let Hyperfocus and The Lob or the various Calls be viable guns again for at least a majority of the game, that’s all I want. It doesn’t seem difficult on paper but maybe I am missing something.

Can us give us a status update on the horrific FoV / UI bug thats haunting some of us since the latest patch? I really hope you can fix that with or before the new DLC drops. The game is not enjoyable for me at this state. I’m getting nauseaous after like 5 minutes playing :frowning:

Btw the Siren anointment On Action Skill end deal 130% bonus radiation damage for a short time is still bugged and only grants us it’s original value, 40% bonus radiation damage. It has never received any of it’s intended buffs, only the description was updated.

There is a part of me that thinks forums like this and reporting tot he company does nothing. I’ve read through the thread and the themes are the same: stop nerfing fun guns, buff other guns so there is more replay-ability and more fun with playthroughs, and issues with AS and Annoints.

Yet all we see is buffs for guns that are solely SMGs, and even then are ones that are not used as much. ARs, Shotguns, Pistols get NOTHING in terms of change.

Yet the Gearbox crew seems to only change things the main fanbase DOESNT want changed. If there is a logic here I would very much like it explained to me so I can grasp the thought process behind it. If someone can explain maybe I’d be more inclined to understand but as it stands right now - it just seems like Gearbox is doing the opposite of what most people are talking about.

If they’re using testers or people they have on retainer, of course these people are not going to complain hard about the game and may make suggestions that only they or a small group of people might agree with. Go to the people who put thousands of hours with builds and farming. While I dont always agree with YouTubers or Twitch Streamers, they DO put thousands of hours in so why arent their critiques being heard? Moxsy himself has complained many times about the nerfs and the inability to use other guns. The guy releases 1-2 videos a day on average (might be off on this one but still quite a few a week) so he is putting in time to record the videos, farm for the gear and annoints, as well as the many tries he would have done and failed in order to record. That’s ALL gameplay so why not listen to someone who has broken the game many times over and see what their fededback is. And I’m not saying to blindly follow either, use their info and do the research based on fan and Streamer/Video Recorder feedback of the game.
