I don’t think I follow. Are you needing some better gear? Don’t have time to farm? Or is it just a general comment about rng/farming?

Perhaps there could be shieldgate for under 50% health builds.

I’m afraid this would make an even further imbalance with the URad annoint. As it stands I’m satisfied that you have to trade survivability for damage.

Why dont you just fix it? This game is a mess, one problem after another and a developer that’s slow as molasses fixing bugs and unintended changes to the game.

Not even a word on the low drop rates that the Loot the Universe event left us with since it finished, and not a word on when is the next patch coming. Probably more than a few weeks.

Also it’s quite baffling that shields’ sources of damage were left out of recent Mayhem 2.0 revamp, which again begs the question: why was it released in such a poor state back in April? It has improved massively since then, yes, but mainly thanks of the constant input from the community.

Small but informative hotfix, that’s good, really good. Just some suggestions:

While I really didn’t mind the additional incoming damage from armed enemies, I think that it’ll be tricky to find a good balance for Moze. Her Deathless builds are great fun, but they aren’t tanky anymore, at least not as much as they had been previously.

My suggestion would be to give Moze an actual Shieldgate with her skill “Tenacious Defense”. That way we could go down to 1 HP after being shieldgated, recover a bit of shield and can then use Iron Bear as our flight mechanism.

The way Shieldgate should work is basically like the Healthgate mechanic, but instead of considering Health as it’s activation value, it looks at the shield capacity in the same way: As long as your shield capacity is at more than 50.1%, an attack that would otherwise kill Moze just reduces her shield and health to extremely low values. By having shields and health be set at the same time it would prevent loops between Healthgate and Shieldgate, so that Moze could not just become invincible without a reason.

Also, could you please take a look at Fl4ks skill “Rage and Recover”. Said skill only replenishes around a third of the HP it’s supposed to. By fixing that skill you’d already make the second character that could struggle with survivability right now a bit more healthy.

Hi so this is off topic to the hotfix but I was wondering if GBX and the borderlands team will ever make a video or something explaining how the covid pandemic has affected the progress of updates with the game. I think it would be a cool thing so everyone could understand how it affects YOU guys and why it takes long on some updates

There is no abusing the health gate in my opinion it’s what Borderlands is. The extra damage for me was to be expected I didn’t realize it was unintended I modified my builds accordingly switched out sheilds and survivability gear. Honestly make me feel really good about mobbing through takedowns solo even on true takedown mode.

Have I lost the plot or were we expecting more gun balancing? You did smgs (some) and I think some shotties but nothing for a couple weeks?

Not to pressure but at this rate we’ll have gun balance when I’m too old to enjoy it.

Maybe I have not seen it but why isn’t there a topic or area where we have the known bugs that keep on being brought up, with a hyperlink to the reply where they have been commented on?

Now I am new to playing on M10 so I don’t have a lot of M10 gear. This is certainly part of the problem for me. I am mainly running with M7 gear. But the result of this ‘feature’ is that if I am not in IB I do a lot of my fighting while in FFYL. Not an ideal way to play the game.

I feel the same. I have yet to see anyone mention why they dont simply add “super badass” enemies at…idunno M6…and more of them appear at higher mayhem modes.

I’m fine with it. That’s as it should be, IMO.

I think I would be more open to this if shield capacity also scaled with MH level, along with my health. Not 10,000% boost, but something.

Right now balance became tilted in favor of bad guys too much: we are suddenly dealing the same gun damage, but they have much stronger shields AND huge health pools. It’s still possible to play, but too much FFYL (and I’m only at MH8).

Heh, this does explain alot. It also makes me feel pretty good being as how my FL4K and Zane have held up pretty well considering how strong those weapons are against our M0 shields.
