Without dedicated drops being affected, this whole event is just a glorified un-nerfed Shlooter artifact. Sounds like a lot of effort done instead of just leaving Shlooter alone…

How about celebrating the 2 year anniversary of Borderlands 3 by taking care of the gunplay and drop rate balancing issues? That would be something to cheer for.

Droughts. The undertaker drops 2-4 legendary class modes every run

Looks like Devil’s Razor is AR’s and Grenade Mods.

If it’s like last time, I expect shotguns to be at “cathedral of the twins gods”

Lovin this event. Spent the day in the Droughts doing runs on Dumptruck and the Demoskaggons. Wearing the Shlooter and with Cartels turned on, 10-20 Class mod drops on each run. Got more good 2 and 3 perk COMs today than in my last 3 dedicated farms and it’s only day one. THIS IS F*@*G AWESOME! Thanks for bringing it back GB :metal:

Time to take advantage of this opportunity to farm some class mods. The Drought was good even during a short run last night.

Yep lots of farming right now for me at Droughts (COMs) and Cathedral (artifacts). (and yeah having the Shlooter on helps, omg the controversy.)

If Gearbox is never going to make farming dedicated drops a tolerable experience could they at least just add more items to the world drop pool? The Hellwalker is a powerful gun but I don’t ever want to see another one drop… it’s the same damn items over and over. Why isn’t something like the Garcia or One Pump Chump in the world drop pool? Why are so many awesome pieces of gear relegated to some tiny corner of a single map when they could actually get found by players just out doing whatever content they ACTUALLY like? Never made sense to me that so much gear isn’t accessible through world drops when Gearbox keeps pushing so many of these world drop events (loot the universe, red chest loot ejaculation, manditory golden shower week, etc.) Just seems like it would be cool if players didn’t HAVE to save/quit farm and sit through loading screens for a bunch of gear and they could just find it by actually playing the game. The world drop pool just feels so extremely stale by this point it’s sad. Imagine how cool it would be if I owned DLC2 and could get DLC2 legendaries to drop randomly as I blasted skags on Pandora. What if instead of playing Arms Race I could do something that’s actually fun like Maliwan Takedown and still have a small chance at those Arms Race legendaries? The dedicated sources would still be the most efficient sources for each piece of gear but not outright requirements like they are now. Imagine if every item could world drop, players might actually be genuinely excited to hear that legendary item pop out from that badass tink. But the way things are now it’s usually just something you’ve seen a million times and you probably already have.

Thanks Beergox.

That would be nice. As for myself never understood the save/quit/restart excitement to get a piece of gear. I never did it in any of the other BL games because I just wanted to go around the whole game and whatever dropped was fine.

Maybe a different world drop pool per planet would be great

The problem with BL3 is the high amount of legendary gear. Iirc, in BL2 every legendary is in the world drop pool but also get a boss with higher chance to drop it. But we had basically one legendary version of a manufacturer weapon type.
In BL3, just look at how many legendary Jakobs pistols we have.

I think they wanted to adress dashboarding farming and how much some unique gear (Sandhawk, Pimpernel) were better than legendary overall.

But, in the end, farming like this was always a Borderlands thing so there is no reason to complain about it now tbh. Also makes no sense to drop DLC gear outside of said DLC maps.

Maybe the problem right now is how purple/unique gear cant hold its ground in high Mayhem levels in most cases. My first Maliwan Takedown clear back in M4 was done with a Nebula and a Kinect Stranger, with a Brainstormer for Valks landing and Wotan shield. LoL

Strike one!

Yes, there is. Just because something has been bad since the beginning, and a fraction of players got used to it, doesn’t mean it should always be that way. There is virtually nothing about reasonable, practical legendary drops, that scale with investment, that detracts from players who like to gimp themselves with purples, aside from some occasional visual clutter.

No, but it makes sense that things like The Shlooter (especially PAID items) should work as the card states, no matter where you are in the game. And it makes sense that there should be an Earl’s Veteran Reward machine in each DLC, if they’re not gonna add the corresponding items to the pool in the Sanctuary machine. Don’t even get me started on crew challenge rewards.

Maybe not. On purples:

Well, this is something I cant agree more. Still waiting the chance to farm a Bekah without having to create a new VH and starting over (and I am not going to do it, being honest).

@Noelle_GBX You guys need to fix the Shlooter.
Since the ninja nerf, the Shlooter boost only applies to Badass, Annointed, Named enemies and chests.

Believe me, I am trying to farm some COMs and it is Impossible. The Cathedral farm is more doable as there are a lot of Annointed and Badass spawning, especially with Cartels on, but the Droughts is really bad right now as it is a huge map with few badasses and named enemies spawning.

I am playing the PS4 version so I dont know if it is true for the others platforms, but I am running Droughts, Cathedral and Joey Planet non stop for some time now and I am yet to see a regular CoV or whatever droping legendary gear.

I dont really like this type of comment, but seems the dev team cant fix one thing without breaking another. There is no playtesting before the releases or after a fix? Are you guys just releasing something and just waiting for some streamer or content creator to point out if it is balanced or not? Because there is no denying the time spam between the two Vault Cards for you guys to run 1 or 2 maps and see if the Shlooter is ok or a little to much.

I have not really time to play before weekend because of work, and seems like I am losing the chance to farm some COMs. And you guys know how painfull is to farm COMs due to skill and passive rolls.
Anyway.

So are the Call weapons fixed of not ? I"ve been reading everything and its opposite.

GBX when call weapons get butchered by a new hotfix : I schleep :sleepy::sleepy::sleepy:

GBX when it comes to fixing an item a couple hours after its release : 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

They are fixed after latest hotfix.

Not even. Try the area outside and inside the Under Taker’s area. Lots of bandits and Cartels spawn in with multiple Anointed. I’m seeing 10-15 COMs per run and the save point is right there. One can do the whole run without ever losing the activation of the Shlooter. M10 with Lootsplosion also helps.

If that doesn’t work for you, try the Dumptruck area and the Demoskaggon area next to it.

Are anyone else’s hotfixes on the main menu still saying August 5? I assume mine are current but just thought I would ask if anyone else is seeing this. I am on Xbone.

Yes, the News feed frequently lags a bit behind. I’ve noticed it on other occasions. Also on XB
